Damn I didn’t think they would be that mad over your comment. But I agree, no one should be glorifying their relationship like it’s the standard of all relationships. I don’t doubt the only reason they were foaming at the mouth about imaginary comments on twitter was because she was the one feeding them Miles content and I don’t doubt these are also the same people that were jumping to Miles defense when people started to cancel him for possibly being conservative or having conservative ideals and hanging his wife out to dry because her and her family’s views are public knowledge. They need to realize that they shouldn’t be putting anyone on pedestals, but I’m pretty sure they would just go back to blindly stanning if it means they can keep their fantasies about them true.

I agree with all of this. I think there’s a difference between:

“I am attracted to this individual who I will never meet, and so I will make up an idea of who I think they are in my head while recognizing that it’s possible they’re nothing like I imagine”

and

“I am attracted to this individual who I will never meet and so I will defend their every action no matter how questionable because I need their behavior to fit into the narrative I have in my head of who they are as a person”.

I also agree that if Keleigh wasn’t feeding the stans content they would be tearing her apart and calling her all kinds of terrible things. She helps fuel fantasies so she’s currently in the good graces. I don’t dislike Keleigh, but I do feel sad for her and the loss of her entire identity which seems to have occurred since their marriage.

I’m not saying people can’t or shouldn’t point to them and say “oh they’re so cute, I wish I had someone who looked at me like that”. What I’m saying is that it’s dangerous to convince ourselves that their relationship is healthy or perfect or something to aim for when there are clear and obvious signs that there are parts of it which are expressly unhealthy.
