sofiasaniâ:
Sheâd been sitting there less than twenty minutes, staring at her pager in fear it would go off and end her attempt at relaxation with a good glass of merlot after a thirty eight hour shift. Not usually one to be chatty towards others, she glances over at the person hovering adjacent to the bar where she sat. Although she lived for her job and was certainly something of a workaholic, Sofia needed a distraction from anything work-related, even if only for a short while. âDo you think itâs terrible of me to hope that I donât get called into work for once?âÂ
"I literally hope for that every day of my life and they still keep puttinâ me on the roster, so I feel it. Really I do.â She spoke candidly to the woman at her side, always a tad too friendly for her own good. âYouâre at a bar though, queen. What you need to relax is a shot... Wineâs cool and all, but it wonât do the trick. I mean, clearly, since youâre still lookinâ at that thing like itâs gonna bite ya.â
