How many times do I need to keep defending myself for the actions I take when it comes to the way I respond to my daughter's needs.

When my daughter (almost 2) seeks more of my attention and seems to be more affectionate towards me, I mostly give her all the love and attention she needs. -- How many times I had to hear comments, from all kind of directions, that I'm spoiling her too much, that I shouldn't give in every time... It is fucking exhausting.

Never did or does anyone see what happens 1-2 days after her - all of a sudden - request for more affection and attention: She gets a high fever. She gets ill. I always feel something is coming up when she's behaving like this, I know her better than anyone. Stop judging my maternal instinct and just shut the fuck up.

My daughter wouldn't sleep last night. She wanted me to read to her all the time and didn't want me to leave.

Eventually, after reading 3 books to her, I put her in bed and left the room. She cried and kept crying. After 10 minutes I came back to check up on her.
