The great Brandon who can eat an entire 20 piece meal with fries in ten minutes, how silly of me.” He rolled his eyes playfully and walked inside after Brandon, leading him to a booth, “I’m among royalty. The prince of fast food.” Bobbi joked, gesturing to Brandon and sitting down.

True be it that Brandon was a super introvert, it didn’t mean that sometimes he liked to get out.

When they pulled up to the diner, Bobbi could feel his stomach growl. These days it seemed like he was always hungry, but with all that was going on with him, it wasn’t surprising. He darted out of the car first and went to the door, holding it open for the other, “I hope you’re as hungry as I am, ‘cause I could literally eat the entire menu right now.”

Brandon flushed a very light pink as he pulled out off of the beach and onto the road. “You don’t have to do that…..” he always hated when one of the twins paid for his things or treated him. It’s not that Brandon didn’t have his own money, he did. Just not as much as the rich Forrester twins. And it always seemed like Bobbi or Anthony were paying for his things. It felt like a charity case sometimes.

“But, I want to.” Bobbi urged, “You- I mean, we both deserve it. Plus, when was the last time you got to eat overpriced greasy fast food with the famous Bobster?” He asked, a grin on his face. He really wanted to spend as much time with Brandon as possible, he wasn’t ready to go home, he was antsy and not in the mood to lay around. That was why he had stayed out in his van on the beach for the night, he needed to get out and he knew Brandon needed some fresh air as well.

“You forget that I’m not Anthony,” Brandon slid out from the back of the trunk, feet hitting the sand below him. “I know I can be a pain in the ass, and a fucking jerkoff sometimes, but I wouldn’t just show up and leave.”

Closing the trunk, Brandon got to the driver’s side of the car and opened the door, getting in at the same time as Bobbi on the passneger side. Grabbing the kesy from the cup holder where he left them, Brandon started the car up. “Where to?”

Bobbi chuckled, throwing his bag in the back and turning his phone off once he got a response from his friend, “Well, since I probably wasted a big bite of your day, how about I pay for a lunch date at the Coral Diner?” He suggested, aiming a charming smile at Brandon. “It’s the least I could do, plus a real meal would be so nice right now.”

Brandon scrolled through the playlist once the first song ended and turned something else on, grateful that he parked his car at an angle so that the open trunk was facing the front of Bobbi’s van, where the twin was working on the engine again.

Still holding his knees up to his chest, Brandon let his eyes wander over Bobbi, watching him and taking in every little movement and huff. It was definitely no secret that Brandon was attracted to Bobbi. Back in high school and college, he had dated Bobbi’s twin, Anthony. After that went downhill in college, Brandon set his heart and eyes on Bobbi. He knew that the other boy would probably treat him better than Anthony did if they ever got together. But Brandon didn’t want to seem thirsty or desperate for another relationship. Even if it had been almost five months since he and Anthony had broken up. Brandon wasn’t the immediate rebound type.

A few pinched fingers and curses later, Bobbi slammed down the hood. He began to grumbled to himself about needing a new battery and got down on his knees, looking under the van. He was met with darkened wet sand and a puddle. His shoulders slouched and he cursed loudly, standing back up and kicking the wheel he was closest to. “I got a leak! Are ya fuckin’ kidding me!”

He plopped down in the sand and leaned against the wheel he’d just kicked, head in his hands. “I should have checked that first, I’m such an idiot.” Letting his hands fall to his knees, he let out a sigh, “New battery, a patch up,” He began to name of the things he needed on his fingers, “And all the gas is fucking gone, no wonder it smells around here. That should have been my first clue, god dammit.” He slowly stood back up, knowing he was probably freaking Brandon out with how frustrated he was and pulled his phone out of his pocket, sending a text to an old buddy of his.

“I’m texting a guy I know to take this thing to the garage, but it’s probably not gonna be on the road for a bit.” Running a hand down his face, Bobbi walked to the back of the van, grabbed his bag of necessities and shut the back doors. “So, there’s no use sitting around here. We might as well leave and get out of the heat before we fry even more than we already have.” He unzipped his patched up back pack and pulled out an army green tank top, putting it on and giving Brandon a sheepish smile“Sorry man, guess I can’t fix everything eheheh..At least you actually stayed to keep me company, Anthony would have left as soon as he got here.”
