im beatling out
I cannot overstate how important it is for women to possess things, whether material or immaterial. Let it be your favorite dress, bottles of perfume, a piece of jewelry, linen bedsheets, books, knowledge, degrees, work experience, connections, hobbies, a secret garden that belong to you alone.
Build a life that is unmistakably yours. Form your identity. Explore and refine your taste. Know what moves you, what inspires you. Be your own muse, go to shopping malls and smell new perfumes/try the clothes on instead of getting your inspiration online. A woman without a strong sense of identity risks losing herself in this world.
I remember my mother once saying that she had "nothing." That sentence has stayed with me. Many women were robbed of their identity whether by marrying the wrong man or by being reduced solely to the roles of wife and mother. They were never truly given the opportunity to explore their womanhood in all its depth.
If you are feeling lost in your womanhood, just start to cultivate your taste. Read foreign literature. Treat yourself according to your budget (for instance try to understand what you really enjoy in fashion and you really donβt need to buy anything ) . Explore new hobbies. Invest in your education and your future. If your circumstances allow try new occupations, develop new skills, travel, create, remain curious.
one day Iβll finally write that ridiculously elaborate fanfiction that Iβve been carefully constructing in my daydreams for months and then youβll be sorry. youβll all be sorry.
happy severance day! here's some studies I've done while waiting for the new episode

truly the idea of "this scene is (un-)necessary to the story" is such a fundamentally uncurious and anti-art way of engaging with fiction. the story itself is unnecessary, in the sense that all art is unnecessary, because art is not a fucking optimization problem. that's the beauty of it
also there is no theory of βnecessaryβ and βunnecessaryβ scenes that is not culturally conditioned and a reflection of specific societal biases. modern Anglophone readers of the Iliad tend to find the Catalogue of Ships and the Doloneia and Achilles fighting the Scamander and most of the violence and killing in the poem unnecessary but an Iliad that removes them and telescopes the journey from Book 1 to Book 24 is not the Iliad in any meaningful way.
Every time you go in a public place and something ISNβT disgusting itβs because somebody cleaned it. Every time you feel comfortable using a public bathroom or sitting at a restaurant table or setting something on a gas station counter or playing on a playground itβs because somebody cleaned it.
Thank you to everyone who cleans the world, especially those who are underpaid and under appreciated.
I worked in a supermarket for 7 years and I don't think I can understate just how much cleaning you had to do for it to look clean (it very often where not in the places you aren't supposed to see)
True for food service, retail establishments, gyms, outdoor areas, schools, religious buildings, office buildings, etc. People usually only notice when a space is NOT clean, meanwhile every time a space is clean itβs only because of the diligent work of janitors, maintenance staff, custodians, parks workers, or volunteers.
To everyone who is feeling a little sad right now... close your eyes. Hold out your hands.
I am gently offering you Ring with Cat and Kittens, 1295β664 BCE.

You can always lock in, but can lock out ? Can you be whimsical? Can you be silly? Can you chill the fuck out? Thatβs important too
Sun-Headed Deity of Tamgaly, which dates back 3,400 years
The most goddess thing I've been doing is feeling every raw emotion inside me. Crying my eyes out, throwing away old things that no longer bring me joy, tell shame to go fuck itself, embrace my loneliness as a state that can be changed and not a sentence. To realize fully that yes I'm fucked up too, yes I'm deeply angry and hurt and many times I've felt broken before i ever felt pretty at all, that i have many masks ready to show up not because i like playing the game but because i must. It is a beautiful horrifying world. It's devastating how many times I've gotta close my eyes cause i can't cry for every sad thing that i see, for my heart is big but I only have one heart to live with and no one offers a tissue. I haven't been myself cause i know who i am at my core but not who i see outside. And i love so deeply. But i know what i want, sort of, it became a blurry sensation. For now I'm just staying grateful and noticing the little bug blessings. It's given more than i expected for i expected nothing, i know my world will be mine to open my arms to, to create to, to shape to, to sing to. I want the beauty of it. I know the divinity in it. The illusions that cut deep. It's alright. Thank you for the breath of life.
