Today, the Chinese Orchestra scene in Singapore has lost a great cello and double bass instructor, professional, and mentor. I was taught by Mr. Lee since 2006 when I entered NYPCO, and had the privilege to perform with him in numerous concerts all these years. Strict, skillful, extremely hardworking, joker at times, a chit-chat kaki, and last but not least, a teacher. The last time when I met him, he asked to join in to “jiak toh” (have a dinner feast) one day, I told him I will try my best. But I guess now, I won’t be able to “jiak toh” with him anymore. Rest in peace and have a smooth journey to the other side of the world, it has been my utmost privilege to be taught by you. Goodbye. 🎶 今日，新加坡華樂界失去了一位令人欽佩的低音聲部指導老師、演奏家及前輩。 我是在 2006 年加入南洋理工華樂團而認識李老師。他當時是我的低音聲部指導老師。這些年以來，我也很榮欣的和他一起同台演出了不少音樂會。 李老師非常嚴格、也很勤勞、是個傑出前輩。偶爾愛搞笑，偶爾愛開玩笑，他不禁是個聊天的好夥伴，也是一位知音。 最後一次見到他是，他還叫我一起和大夥找一天去吃飯，我回了他，說我盡量安排。現在，沒機會和他吃飯了。 很惋惜，很可惜。李老師，請您一路好走。謝謝您多年的栽培及教導，能當您的學生是我榮幸。 #ripmrleehoukoonkenneth #chineseorchestra
