A momentary bliss, for my viewing pleasure .

This project documents and describes an adventure of daily inhabitants. The images question a familiar sense of reality and when looking at the work, the everyday elements that bore are forgotten as I interlace the routine journey of the everyday with unusual subject matter. This is almost a bombardment of reality that is commonly faced within this urban culture. This work questions what the true value of a moment is, to me. These mundane, yet luxuriously satisfying images perplex the eye and enable a witness of marriage between matter of each of the moments. This work captures a reaction of artist and subject portraying the inept intensity of what a chance encounter can create. The ability to neither justify a moment or state what is truly going on within the images evoke a feeling of playfulness, having this kind of ambiguous fluidity but still directing the camera in a way that evidences a well thought process of nimble acknowledgement and instantaneous portrayal. The touch leaves its mark on your skin and you are mesmerized for the moments that follow. Instantly the caress is a memory but the sensation lingers on, temporarily, yet lasting. The movement and action of re-living something new in each memory of the caress being repeated to keep the feeling alive, the sensation still tingling. The instant shock as you want that moment to begin again, to continue on. For me, the momentary footage played over and over again in the GIF, continues the replayal, satisfies, and becomes monumental. A document, a meme, an artwork.
