Hahaha that's a lot of spin offs! But I'm really really happy to hear the story's good enough to linger in your thoughts and stir up curiosity for more!

I kinda figured if I ever wrote more in the EoS world, it might either be something with Gear and the Gambler (which, hey, could also include some of the other things you mention, like more of Antimony's, Blei's and Lucienne's backstories!) or something set WAY earlier that would focus on the sorcerers and what happened to them.

At the very least, though, it gives me some ideas for potential silly art!

ps. Angus, I like to imagine, is trying their best to be a better sibling, which mostly involves them sort of following the Gambler around wherever he goes while still trying to act aloof. They are, in many ways, like a big cat. :P

I like where the story left the characters and its just those 'snippets' of life after that intrigue me. But all of that sounds just utterly delightful.

This entire first chunk of the book was just a feast of my favourite tropes. Rag-tag team scrambling to formulate a plan behooven to constraints of TRAVEL for some forced DOWNTIME to reflect on our EMOTIONS.

Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.

And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"

Good Omens has been a safe space for ace people for decades now, as we could see ourselves in a main couple that was explicitly like us. They were in love, but with another way of showing intimacy that resonated with asexual and aromantic people. Good Omens has also been a fandom with a lot of acephobia, belittling or ignoring the canonical sexuality of the characters in fanworks.

I am not surprise to find that one of the biggest complains about the finale is thus rooted in acephobia. Crowley and Aziraphale loved each other, and they showed it through the whole finale: how the protected the Bentley and the bookshop, how Crowley went back to Aziraphale once he was back, Aziraphale's question, how they supported each other through the whole library scene, a whole meet-cute that leaves to a wedding and a life together in a South Down cottage... Even if there wasn't a mouth to mouth kiss (because there was a kiss), we couldn't have had a more intimate and lovely ending for them.

A whole ton of character sketches I did recently to accompany me to the Fergus Steampunk Festival yesterday, where I was selling copies of The Winding and The Ticking. I hope everyone who took a sketch home with them enjoys it (along with the books!), because they were made with love :)
