Hello! Of course! I actually struggled with this one for a while, haha. Dogs are surprisingly difficult to draw 😅

I barely included Cross the first time I drew this IF, so this time I wanted to focus more on him. Though, to be fair, Killer somehow always ends up appearing anyway. 😉

Nightmare can read their emotions, but because he only reads emotions, I thought there would probably be moments where communication gets a little mismatched. More than anything, dogs naturally crave affection, while Nightmare is very far removed from openly expressing it. He probably just assumed Cross thought the medicine was some kind of treat.

But Nightmare’s tentacles are more honest about his emotions than Nightmare himself is, and sometimes they notice feelings faster than he does. Almost like they instinctively know how they should respond. Since the dogs see Nightmare’s tentacles as just another part of him—basically like a very oddly shaped tail—I think they would react to them almost the same way they would react to his hands touching them.

Thankfully, a lot of people ended up liking this IF, but when I actually tried drawing it again, I struggled for a while because I couldn’t think of many ideas. The truth is, I live with cats, so I don’t actually know dog behavior very well... Usually, the cutest little pet habits are the kinds of things you naturally notice while living together with them every day.

Even so, I really love this concept too, so I think I’d still like to draw it from time to time in the future. Even if drawing skeleton dogs is incredibly difficult, the idea of them being dogs at all is just way too adorable to me.
