Loki ± a little bit of magic ✨
In addition to his physical capabilities, Loki is one of the greatest practitioners of magic that ever lived. Below is a comprehensive list of his skills and abilities (according to the MCU films and Marvel directory):
Memory Manipulation- User can control memories of oneself and others, allowing them to modify, fabricate, suppress, influence, repair, restore, erase, detect, and view them.
Additionally, according to the Marvel directory, Loki can broadcast his thoughts into other minds as well as plant compelling hypnotic suggestions. He cannot, however, perceive the thoughts of others.
Enhanced Extrasensory Perception & Dexterity- The power to control limbs, muscles, and body extremely well. Loki has extrasensory powers of perception, which enable him to see and hear events in distant places simultaneous to their occurrence. In The Avengers, Loki tells Natasha “there’s no many people who can sneak up on me.”
Advanced durability- Can endure injuries with little or no effect.
Asgardian flesh and bone is about 3 times denser than similar human tissue.
Regenerative Healing- User recreate lost or damaged tissues, organs and limbs. Loki’s metabolism also enables him to rapidly regenerate damaged tissue. It is unconfirmed whether or not Loki’s ability to regenerate Thor’s hand is an illusion or actual healing. However, we’ve seen Loki use this skill on multiple occasions.
Telekinesis- Loki can influence the movement of objects and people with his mind
Illusion Casting- User can create, shape and manipulate illusions, causing targets to see, hear, touch, smell and/or taste things which do not actually exist or cause them to perceive things differently from what they truly are.
Astral projection- Ability to communicate with beings in other places.
Self-replication- Cloning; The ability to replicate oneself, others and/or objects.
Cryogenesis- The power to generate and manipulate ice. Loki has the ability to wield the Casket of Ancient Winters.
Dimensional storage- The power to store anything in a fold of dimension/space and re-materialize at will.
Superhuman strength- Possesses sufficient physical strength.
According to the Marvel directory, Loki has the ability to lift up to 50 tons.
Create rifts between dimensions- allows user or other objects passage from one universe to another
Shape-shifting- Can transform his shape at will into those of other creatures
Transfiguration- a branch of magic that focuses on the alteration of the form or appearance of an object, via the alteration of the object’s molecular structure.
Clothing generation- ability to create cloth/clothing out of energy or matter
Energy Manipulation- Loki can project highly powerful concussive bolts of mystical energy. He can also create magical energy fields, which serve various purposes. With great concentration, Loki can create a field of sufficient resilience to repel Thor’s hammer.
He can surround objects in mystical energy to levitate them
He has the ability to mystically levitate himself and thereby fly at great speed.
