After the momentous defeat of the last full moon’s Arcana shadow, shadow activity returned to its lowest, allies recovered from their injury and responsibilities reach their laxest for the party.

Even if Mitsuru and the native persona teams deal with yet unknown complications surrounding the night of the previous operation.

However, your troubles can wait.  A celebration is in order for the weary heroes of Tokyo! To all those willing or capable, Mitsuru has personally offered her many private jets to transport each and every person to the island of Okinawa.

Okinawa is a collection of island prefectures known for its white sand beaches, brilliantly clear water, and rich history. Here, you can take a guided dive through ancient underground ruins, see its world famous aquarium, or visit its America themed amusement park!

With a grateful word, all expenses will be gladly paid for through the Kirijo Corp entertainment budget, and each individual is encouraged to worry only about having fun however they wish.

The next day you gathered along with most of the group in the cafeteria after having breakfast. The group felt larger compared to the last time you had one of these meetings. It took no more than a few minutes for everyone to assemble. First thing you noticed that was that only Mitsuru was currently present. Normally this worlds Yu was present as well along with members of both teams. While it was good to see that she was out of the boot from the first fight, the new bandages on her face and hand seemed out of place. Especially because you could not recall if she or any of the other Shadow Operatives were at the Arcana Lovers fight.

Once enough people gathered you watched Mitsuru clap her hands to draw everyone's attention. The room went silent as all attention fell on her. “I will be honest about this, I had originally not planned on telling you this. I did not want to add another burden upon your shoulders while you were recovering after the Full Moon Shadow. Especially because at the end of the day, these are problems we should be dealing with and not you.”

With that type of opening statement, what could be coming next probably is not good news. The whispers of concern and stress filled the room as Mitsuru clapped again, drawing attention back to herself. “As some of you may have speculated. The Phantom Thieves of our world are currently missing. We believe that Joker was the first to go missing, with the others quickly following suite. We first noticed when Joker did not check in two nights before the Full Moon. Once he failed to check in, we reached out to the rest of his team to no success trying both during and outside of the Dark Hour. If they had a heist plan, Joker would have at least notified us about it. Meaning we had no idea where they may have gone. Asking their guardians about their locations yielded us little results in terms of their location only that they were acting off in the days leading up to their disappearance. 

With the reappearance of those who went missing from your group in the Instant Messengers, we had guessed that they too may have gotten ensnared by the music. Which meant that they should be where the others were being held captive. While you were fighting the Full Moon Shadow, we were investigating the TV World to see if we could locate them. In the off chance they were not present at the Full Moon fight. Since neither Fuuka or Rise’s scans were picking them up during the Dark Hour. What we found were the Shadows within the TV World there were unusually aggressive slowing down our search of the TV World. Unfortunately found nothing of note during our search that night. The Seekers of Truth and part of the Shadow Operatives are still searching as we speak. That being said, we are working around the clock to locate them. 

In the mean time, I would like if you could all take the next few days off and continue to rest. I remember the Arcana Lovers Shadow being strenuous for me when I fought that Shadow several years ago. Hearing how this version was stronger and more cunning than the last time it appeared leaves no doubt in my mind that a genuine break is in order.  We are working on a short trip to Okinawa with no Shadow related missions attached.

I understand that some of you may be concerned or worried about them. However, If we find the Phantom Thieves, I promise you that I will let you know immediately. Until then, it would be best if you take this time to recover your strength. 

With that said, any questions or concerns?”

Concerned and suspicious whispers spread amongst the group as a wave of uneasiness settled over you.

Chapter 1 is officially over, good job so far!

This is the final plot relevant post until the next chapter. Any future posts will be fun events tied into the intermission event.

With the defeat of Arcana Lovers all of the people who were lured away returned to their senses, an uneasy peace settled over the group. You knew that fight was both physically and mentally draining for some more than others. True feelings revealed, painful secrets finally spoken all in an effort to snap the Charmers out of their spell. Once back to the compound, the group split apart. Those needing medical attention headed to the Medical Bay while almost everyone else returned to the dorms. Given how painful the fight went, it made sense that no one was in the mood to hang around. You glanced towards the sky, watching the Dark Hour finally draw to a close before heading inside yourself.

The next two days passed without too much trouble. The only thing that drew your attention was the increased number of the staff running around. They asked you questions including if you have seen specific people. You assumed that this had to do with getting an accurate count of how many people now found themselves trapped here. It seemed like someone new found themselves trapped in this world each day. The thought brought a frown to your face, that even after two months there is very little progress on a method to return home. You eventually shook your head, there was no point dwelling on this topic. You knew that there was nothing you could do to change the fact.

You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket, taking you out of your thoughts. Pulling the device out you saw a message from the person in charge... Mitsuru.

[KirijoMitsuru]: We need to have a meeting tomorrow. Please meet me in the cafeteria tomorrow morning after breakfast.

"BACK UP AND COVER YOUR EARS!" Taking the Heavy Bazooka off of his back and pointing it at the shadow, using his goggles to see through the strange slime and hopefully land right on target. It's unfortunate that his strongest weapon will hit everyone in this case, even those who are charmed, but he has to try and help out. Readying the Heavy Bazooka, Jeff bellows out, "SORRY, EVERYONE UP THERE - FIRE!"

With a powerful boom, the bazooka is fired with the intent of hitting all enemies with severe gun damage!

Jeff used Heavy Bazooka on the Arcana Lovers!

It successfully hits for another round of severe gun damage!

The shadow takes the hit and has its slime blown off in a splash! What remains is a half melted torso missing a leg, full of holes, its heart head barely remaining upright like a balloon losing air.

Clinging to holding itself up high on its pole, the remains of its massive body is dangling in a once elegant upside down pose. The shadow... slowly stops dancing and droops.

Its heart beat begins beating slower and with more and more strain.

It raises its hands to reach for the pole... but instead puts its hands on it's... "face" to blow the room, maybe the world, a kiss. With a deep, long, and heavy sigh it finally releases its straining form and falls apart completely into splashing pink liquid on the floor, taking with it in its gravity its large Golden Head Brace, which clunks loudly onto the floor and is all it leaves behind.

And with that noise-- that solid sound it makes as it hits the floor, it becomes clear the dancefloor was not slime at all but solid!

The pink distortion that consumed the club melts away into shadowy nothing, and at last.... you are back in reality!

Though the midnight hour's stiff and eerie air is still at play, the weight that lifts from the world's mind and yours is palpable.

All charmed players are fully freed.

Already Goro was exhausted, fed up with the gelatinous nightmare, his anger fueling the vicious streak that he couldn’t seem to lose. But with the last of the charmed ones out of the way he found an opening, giving little regard to his own health. He was going to see this damned thing dead even if he took himself out in the process. Summoning his Persona, one hand pressed over the earlier wound that still could not fully heal, Goro attacked with reckless abandon, using Riot Gun on the Shadow, the severe gun damage concentrated wholly on a now-single target.

“Die already, you piece of shit!”

Goro casts Riot Gun on the Arcana Lovers!

It successfully hits for severe gun damage, riddling the hanging goo body with holes that don't even all close up, but it doesn't stop its laughing and its loud, quickening heart beat.

The shadow is falling apart, but continues to dance madly!

She did it…

She did it!!

All that emotional stress, watching Blackberry being whipped and tossed around by that monster, seeing him be pulled away from her while she tried breaking him free, everything bottled up over the last few days finally came to a head. No more tender, sweet, fun-loving blueberry. With that chain now in her sights it’s time for her promise to be met! A promise to rescue Blackberry, to keep him safe and bring him back to them.

“You URCHIN!” She shouted as loud as her lungs could muster. Vivi wanted the Shadow to see her! Let it’s gross floating slime heart cast its attention on the small dot of blue holding the brittle chain in her hand. A hand glowing bright blue, encasing the brittle iron in her own ice where it was held. Rage crossed every single feature, flaring to life behind intense blue eyes. The snowflake iris even moved, shimmering on its own and glittering coldly. “You forced these people to come to you by means of a siren song, you parade them around like they’re some little dolls you can play with it at your LEISURE, you toy with their powers and use them JUST FOR YOUR OWN DAMN ADVANTAGE!!”

No more! With this last chain, they all would be free.

“I won’t allow you to have MY BLACKBERRY anymore!! This is your last connection, and I’m going to make sure this BREAKS YOUR FUCKING MISFORMED HEART INTO A MILLION PIECES!”

One crush!

One simple squash between her strong palm would shatter the frail chains keeping Blackberry held down! He’d be free! He could fight with his allies! With his team! With her too!

“NOW FUCKING DIE AND SQUIRM BENEATH MY BITTER COLD FURY!!”

The chain is crushed in Vivi's grip, whipping it back to the shadow and leaving the remaining shards to melt on the floor. Even Akira's enchanted appearance melts away. And with that... Akira has been FREED ! 💔 He can no longer be charmed!

ALL ALLIES ARE FREED ! Your party is finally back together! The shadow breaks free of the ice as the chain breaks from its body, but it falls straight to its knees, every one of its own heart beats causing more of its unstable form to drip to the floor as it grips its chest. The music stops for only the heart beat to remain.

Quickly it looks up from the floor to the party, to its club, glancing frantically all around, clearly looking for someone-- anyone to call on. Realizing its out of options, and that its "affection" for the party has been wholly rejected, it sits on its knees to grab its rapidly cracking head as it braces to break.... but it stops.

As if relenting, it simply starts to laugh, slowing lowering its hands. But that accepting tone quickly worsens into a deranged mania, garbled by its slime and ethereal voice, before it suddenly claps its hands one last time.

The lights go out. Everything is pitch black.

Its laughter is still heard however as you feel the ground beneath your feet become... soft and sticky and difficult to keep balance on. It is also breathing. You feel its heartbeat throughout every inch of the ground. However, something finally arrives to illuminate the dark, piercing through with a jolt to the floor that sends it jiggling in a unbalancing way-- a tall pole. A pink spotlight hits it as who else but the shadow, falling apart at the seams, comes twirling down it.

The lights raise to reveal all of the club is nothing but pink goo now, and beginning to crumble and melt.

If the ever-so brave party won't accept their rose colored fate, and if this night won't last forever, then let there be one last dance to bring down the house!

The shadow is refusing to die alone, it's determination has permanently risen its defense! The shadow is permanently afflicted with the status obsession. The shadow will dance until it dies and take hearts until there's no one left it can take! Nothing will slow it down!
