I created this guy to be a competent stand-in for the Unlikely Hero.  He's handsome, athletic, confidant, and the darling of the seminary.  It seems very improbable that he and the Unlikely hero are even friends.  Lancer will not be joining the Unlikely Hero because he's too skilled, and will likely take the attention away from the main character.

In order to make the Unlikely Hero a bit more likable, I gave him a small circle of charismatic friends.  This is the Sunny Optimist.  She's positive, cheery, and loves getting good grades.

The Unlikely Hero has a group of friends that are his "Home Team."  Leaving them (and dealing with how he feels about that) will be one of the first parts of his development as a hero.  I added Sunny Optimist, Lancer, and Doubtless Custodian in the latest revisions of the story, and never really planned on any of them going with him on his journey.  

I created the Chosen One to be a rival and eventual ally to the Unlikely Hero.  He has been drilled, trained, and groomed by the best heroes of the last generation to believe that he would be the next great savior of the land.  However, for some odd reason, every time he arrives to challenge some horrible evil, it is already slain, by the Unlikely Hero.  Eventually, the Chosen One will wonder if the Unlikely Hero even EARNED any of his victories.  Does Destiny conspire against the Chosen One?

I created this character to play the role of a cool big-sister to watch over the unlikely hero and his companions.  I felt she was needed because, during one of the revision cycles, I regressed the starting age of all the mains from late-teen, to much younger.  The Unlikely Hero, Tormented Sympath, Sunny Optimist, Chosen One, and Shorttank are all 11 years old.  Somebody had to be the responsible one.

As you can see from the way she's dressed, she's a full-fledged (but still low-ranking) cleric of the church.

This art trade was actually reciprocated.  I wasn't expecting that it would be.  I have a bit of a weakness for these Chinese dresses.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if she drew this.  She abandoned a lot of accounts, and I found some comments accusing her of art theft.  So I don't know, maybe the effort in this exchange was wasted, too.

The design inspiration from the "Slayers" anime really show in this drawing.  I definitely need to rework her costume before I finalize her design.  

She's supposed to be leaning (forward) on her thighs, so that's why her legs look a bit short.  Foreshortening is my eternal rival.

She's in a Sailor Fuku, now.  This is what she wore to the public school before transferring to the seminary.  I think I had an art-block at the time, and I just wanted to draw something cute.

I drew this purely to draw views to my account.  Fan art gets the views and original art doesn't.  At least, that's what I thought;  this one didn't get many views.  This is Mandy from "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy."
