what was your favorite part, 1 or 2?
I loved part two more! I am usually always a fan of when more stuff happens
which scene in the book was your favorite?
I loved any scene with Jesse. The Whispering room as well as when the merry thieves were trying to cover for James in the ballroom.
what scene (or scenes) made you cry the most?
I didn’t actually cry this book. There weren’t a bunch of emotional scenes but the one that really tugged on my heart strings was when Jesse gave up his last breath for James
what scenes were unsatisfactory?
Any scene with Grace and James together. All I wanted to do was rip the stupid bracelet off lmao.
what made you laugh the most?
The Merry Thieves antics. I also laughed a lot when James was yelling about liking tea in front of Cordelias house.Â
what bored you?
Nothing honestly. I was intrigued the entire time!
what disappointed you?
I was a little disappointed that Lucie and Matthews friendship wasn’t explored more. I also thought that Matthew developing a crush on Cordelia was really unexpected.Â
what is the top thing you wish had been done differently?
I wish Matthew didn’t develop a crush on Cordelia. I understand why Cassie did it but all I want for Matthew is for him to heal and forgive himself!
what things did you predict that came true?
I predicted that Matthew was bi and that Alistair was gay.Â
what are some things that were really unexpected?
I did not expect James to actually be in love with Cordelia. I thought we were going to be In it for the long haul but it turns out that our boi has not let us down.Â
are there characters that you didn’t like before that you like now?
ALISTAIR!! God he is one of my favorites now. I went in fully expecting to hate him the entire time but he has skyrocketed to one of my favorites.Â
are there characters that you liked before that you don’t like now?
Grace. I was really optimistic about her and didn’t want pt simply hate her because she got in the way of James and Cordelia but now she is just plain shady and Want her away from my babies.Â
who was your favorite new character?
So Im taking new character to mean one we hav’t really met before in any of the short stories and I have to go with Jesse! He was so different from what I was expecting! I thought he was going to be super moody but he turned out to just be sarcastic which I loved!
what places in the book would you like to visit?
I would love to visit the Hell Ruelle! It sounds like a party!
did you like the ending?
I personally am happy with the ending. It leaves me very intrigued for the next book in the series while also answering enough questions for now
what did you think of the epilogue?
Tatiana you BITCH! it left me very interested in how everything is going to play out in the next book
what are your thoughts on the engagement?
I knew this was coming as Cassie alluded to it before the book was coming out and It boy was she not kidding when she said we never would have been able to guess the reason that they end up getting married. I can only hope that Cordelia uses Cortana to cut off that demon bracelet than make out with James Herondale.
what did you want to see that didn’t happen?
Matthew getting Therapy Lmao. But in reality I wanted to see more interactions between Alistair and Thomas! I think that they are very interesting and I can’t wait to see their dynamic in later books.Â
what do you wish had been resolved that wasn’t?
I wanted Jesse to be resurrected this book! I thought that he would have been brought back during the epilogue but now we wait till next year to find out his fate!
what is your favorite pairing as of now?
Cordelia / Lucie/Jesse (Jucie?) I think that they are both super cute and I am really invested in where those relationships will go!
which characters would you like to see more of in the next book?
JESSE! I want more of him! He is so different from what I expected I just want to see more of himÂ
what is one character whose death you would undo if you could?
Barbara rip. I had a feeling that she was going to die before the book started but I was still upset in the end when she ended up dying.
which characters got bad/unsatisfactory endings?
I felt like Barbara and Oliver got the most unsatisfactory ending only because I am petty and wish that they didn’t die even though I had a feeling they would.
which characters got what they deserved?
TATIANA! except she should have gotten way worse and I have a suspicion that we haven’t seen the last of her.
who should have died but didn’t?
Beliel! leave my babies alone!
what plotline are you most excited to see in the next book?
The wedding!! I am also excited to see the Grace and Lucie team up to resurrect Jesse.
what is one scene that you wish hadn’t happened, but you know was unavoidable?
Grace putting the bracelet back on James. I knew that we hadn’t seen the last of that bracelet and was sad to see that my prediction had come true
which pairing do you like the least?
Alistair/Charles James/Grace in this house we do not stand manipulating your partner
what are some theories you have for chain of iron?
That the shadow hunter world goes tits up lmao.
what characters do you think should have gotten more plot time?
Matthew, Lucie, and Jesse!
