Let’s skip the flowery intros and get to the point, because this is important.

Lotor’s vindication and reunion with Allura were originally part of VLD s8 and I can prove it. Most animation relating to this plot was excised, while other clips were re-purposed to make it look like he was dead all along: but some are still in there.

The removal of this plot line was one of the major factors in completely messing up season 8, and it was a change that was made very recently; no earlier than August in fact. There is a significant, non-zero chance that an unedited version of Season 8 exists in its entirety; completely finished.

The Voltron High administration is now hiring* Voltron fans educators of all talents to join our faculty and help us curate this year’s 2019 yearbook!

The Voltron Yearbook is a Voltron *charity zine designed to look like a high school yearbook. It will feature pictures of the Voltron cast as students and faculty at “Voltron High School”, accompanied by articles and captions detailing the typical high school activities they take part in.

Applications are now open until January 5th! We will be accepting approximately 40 participants in four different positions:

4 title page artists, who will be illustrating the title page spreads for each section;

10-15 content artists and 10-15 content writers, who will be collaborating to create spreads detailing an activity; and 

8-10 portrait artists, who will be creating student and faculty portraits.

I’m only hurting because they gave us so much hope for something beautiful, and they….they didn’t. I’m truly devastated by their choices, as well as confused. I think I might need a break from the fandom. I’ll continue reblogging posts here and there, but this blog might be quiet from time to time.

Okay honestly i’m pissed. Everyone in the vld fandom jumps to conclusions way too fucking quickly. Yes it’s was bad that Adam died, yes it’s bad that the creators was hyping up their relationship so much, but i have reasons to believe that the LGBT+ Rep in Voltron is not ending!

I’m gonna start by explaining why i don’t think Allurance is going to be endgame:

First of all the creators confirmed in an interview that it would not be good for Lance and Allura to end up together. I can’t find any pictures of it but i know i have seen this somewhere on tumblr before. 

(If anyone can find a picture from the interview please let me know)

Not only that but the creators said that Lance would end up with someone the opposite of where he started. And he is going to end up with what he needs rather than what he wants.

It just wouldn’t make sense if Allura is Lance’s endgame romance, it contradicts everything that the creators have said, so either Lance won’t end up with Allura or the creators are lying.

Now the reason why i believe Lance is lgbt:

Now i know many knows this but Lance is holding the LGBT sign together with Shiro

Every character is holding their signs for a reason.

GENDER:

Pidge and Allura are holding this sign because Allura was the first one to confront Pidge about her gender after the reveal that Pidge is a girl.

RACE:

Keith and Hunk are holding this sign because Hunk was the first to confront Keith about him being half galra.

Do you see where i’m going with this?

LGBT:

I strongly believe that Shiro is going to confront Lance about something LGBT related. We know that Shiro himself is LGBT so that is why he is holding the sign. So why is Lance holding the lgbt sign? Surely they wouldn’t just put him in the picture just so the entire team is on there righ?

That just wouldn’t make sense in my book! I believe that the reason is that Lance might be delevoping feelings for Keith i mean:

That wouldn’t be hard to believe right?

(I mean i’m sure i can find more screen caps hinting at this)

Anywho what i mean is that Shiro can help Lance understand that it’s okay for him to like Keith.

Think about it the creators have never truly said that Klance won’t become canon yet they have said that it won’t be good for Lance and Allura to end up together after everything that has happened in season 6, isn’t that a bit strange?

Yeah i know that after Season 7 it seems that they are planning to make allurance endgame

BUT!!

When she learned that Lance genuinely liked her she didn’t seem happy she seemed…sad? Like she didn’t know what to do about it.

I just after what happened in season 6 it would really suprise me if Allura got feelings for Lance THAT quickly especially after her heartbreak with Lotor.

IT JUST DOESN’T ADD UP!!!

And honestly i don’t even want to mention the whole Keith x Axca thing. Because it doesn’t make sense. Honestly there is no romantic development between them i feel like everyone is jumping to conclusions over what Ezor and Zethrid said to them.

In conclusion either the creators are lying and queerbaiting us or it isn’t over yet. Because honestly for god sake people…

THIS ISN’T THE LAST SEASON!!!! DON’T CLAIM THAT THEY ARE QUEERBAITING US TILL THE SHOW IS OVER GOD DAMMIT!!!

And honestly shipping is not everything that matters. What i’m most mad about is how many of you are hating on this season just because your damn ship might not be canon.

All i’m saying is wait till the show is over before giving up, many romantic relationships in cartoons develop during the very last episode of the series so honestly there isn’t anything saying that this doesn’t apply to voltron.

Thoughts about the new season:

-honestly it was my least favorite season by far. I regret staying up to watch it

-I’m really disappointed

-I feel the season was extremely rushed and too many new things were introduced to keep up.

-I hate that they spent a whole huge section of the game show episode talking about how dumb lance is and making fun of him

-lance and Keith picking each other in the game show made my heart swell

-lance saying that Keith is the future made my heart explode

-it was great that hunk got so much more development, but a lot of it felt forced

-Kaltenecker only appeared like once which is kind of dumb

-lance didn’t even have a full on sobbing moment

-lance didn’t have any big moments with Shiro or Keith like Jeremy said

-in fact lance only talked to Shiro like three times the whole season

-I feel like half the stuff they said would happen in this season didn’t

-why tf is axca and Keith a thing now? They’ve only interacted like three times in the whole series and have barely even spoken to each other

-so they really went there with allurance huh. Made lance a complete rebound. Didn’t even have any actual moments that led up to it after her breakup with lotor. Just went straight to her liking him now.

-Cosmo is my life I love him so much. He was probably my favorite thing from this whole season

-Keith calling krolia mom and saying I love you to her made me so happy

-but then krolia left for the rest of the season and didn’t show up again until the end. How did she even get back to earth so fast?

-did they really have Adam show up for like five minutes and then just kill him off???

-they literally gave Shiro like five seconds to mourn and then moved on wtf

-Colleen Holt is amazing and I want her to be my mom

-I cheered when she snapped at the admiral lol

-I’m still gonna watch S8 since it’s the last season, but I’m not gonna be that excited about it. This season killed a lot for me.

-The Altean in the robot seems interesting, but I hope they don’t rush another random storyline into the last season

-seriously? Haggar just abandoned ship and now she’s gone? Not gonna elaborate or anything? She was like the secret main villain for the entire series and y’all really just gonna drop her like that?

-Ezor and Zethrid are cool ig, but they never even had any real connections before, why are they suddenly a thing? If anyone, it should’ve been Ezor x Axca

-So are Ezor and Zethrid just dead now? Like Shadam? Really killing all the gays huh

-I’ve been pronouncing Axca’s name as “Ack-suh” this entire time and I never realized her name wasn’t pronounced that way.

-I know this is a robot fighting show, but it kind of felt like there was way too much going on at the end. A lot of it felt very forced.

-I honestly feel really disappointed in the producers. I know it’s their show, and they can write it however they want, but I think it’s kind of shitty to promote so much stuff and then come up empty. And most of the things the voltron cast said would happen didn’t even happen.

-game show episode was kind of weird. It was alright, but kind of felt out of place. It was also kind of random? Like the game just ended so abruptly?

-lmao but I’m pretty sure that Bob was based off of Q from Star Trek and that’s hilarious

-So is Shiro Altean now?

-I honestly hated Shiro’s new arm. It bothered the hell out of me that it didn’t connect lol

-Veronica was awesome, but I was really hoping that the girl from Lance’s family photo with the long hair was her

-which btw that girl from the photo was wearing Lance’s jacket, or what seemed like his jacket, in this season and it was adorable

-So are the Galra just done now? Are we moving onto a whole new thing or no? Sendak is dead, Zarkons dead, Lotors dead or gone, haggars gone, ezor and Zethrid are dead, druids and Galra are all kind of scattered. Idk whats happening anymore.

-So is voltron done now? Is Atlas the new defender? Or are they gonna do both to defeat some super villain now that was stronger than all the others combined?

There was a lot good this season and I’ll give the credit for that. The ending scenes especially really got me. But let me get to what I’m heartbroken over first. 

The first and biggest sting this season was what they did to Adam. I am in mourning that there’s no happy ending for Shiro and Adam. DON’T BURY THE GAYS. Most if not all validation a I felt from Shiro’s LGBT reveal was invalidated after this happened, leaving me feeling like a pricked balloon Why bother introducing their relationship if you’re just gonna have it end tragically? Why make him gay if you’re just gonna throw it away? Haven’t us LGBT kids been through enough? 

Keith appears to be straight? And have a thing with Acxa?? I could almost buy this/let this one go, but it shows that they clearly don’t know their core audience if they choose this route. Keith is the center of so many ships in this fandom that it just doesn’t make sense from a product management/business perspective to not play to your audience (Like their social media/marketing team has been doing.) I’m just… utterly bewildered.

And finally, after SEASONS of her rejecting him Allura and Lance had the most forced, hetero bullshit interaction I’ve ever seen. How is she suddenly into him? It came out of NOWHERE? We’re just supposed to buy it because it’s the same boy-gets-the-girl sack of shit we’ve been sold since the dawn of time?

I don’t care what you ship, it was a disservice to Allura’s character, a disservice to a STRONG, FEMALE CHARACTER. I want young boys to learn how to handle rejection, how to move on from it, and they just threw that lesson out the window. I have very personal feelings about this topic. I one had a guy that didn’t leave me alone for TEN YEARS even though I NEVER showed interest in him and it escalated to some pretty scary levels. I am beyond frustrated by story lines that propagate the idea that if a dude just waits long enough he’ll get the girl. Fuck everything about that noise.
