Always together, always beside her and watching her back. His steady presence, reliable shooting, unquestionable loyalty, unfailing optimism and genuine goodness made it easy to fall for him. Kael isn’t yet sure if she can trust him with her heart, but she might just be willing to give it a shot. 

All Mandalorians are always armed.

You may think you have made them surrender all their weapons. You have not, they have more blades somewhere and probably a grenade, blaster or flame-thrower as well.

You may think this one is a very young child or maybe a young adolescent. THEY ARE STILL ARMED AND KNOW HOW TO USE THEIR WEAPONS. Do not let your guard down because they are a child. Mandalorian children are to be considered as dangerous as your average Republic soldier.

You may think that their armor is too snug to fit that many concealed weapons. This is flawed thinking. The methodology by which they hide such a large number of blades, combat, cooking and ones so ornate that they are currently being labelled as ceremonial, is currently being researched and results will be distributed upon the completion of this project.

Elazari was born on Mirial. She didn’t end up with the Empire until after they got Mirial when the treaty was signed. She thought she’d be ok until one day the imperial troops swept through her school and grabbed up as many of the older kids as they could catch. It was a punishment for resistance action. She ended up as a serving girl for some asshole of a bureaucrat overseeing a couple of production factories. She might have never been Sith if all the circumstances hadn’t lined up perfectly. An inspection on that exact day, the guards being bored and not told about the inspection, a Sith who was fanatically focused on obeying the emperor’s orders attending with the inspection team. Her being sent in with a lunch for them at that exact time. 

The Bureaucrat and the overseers and the imperial officers wanted her dead, but the Sith insisted she was sent to Korriban. 

Khem was her first friend since she was a child. Even though he kept threatening to eat her. It was very much a case of he may be a force-eating monster assassin, but he’s MY force-eating monster assassin. 

"See? A perfect example. Completely functional." The words reach Fifteen before the unending darkness lifts and she finds herself in a dimly lit room. She sits on a bed of some kind staring straight ahead. Her body aches, but she doesn't know if it's supposed to do that or not. She registers the pain only slightly before it vanishes into the background of her mind. If she hurts then that must just be how she exists. What is she? What are these strange hands in front of her? She knows they are hands, and they are hers, but not how she knows that.

In front of her stands a team of men. Two wear white coats and hold things she doesn't know. They stand to her sides, near a group of machines and IV's of things she couldn't begin to recall. Most of the others wear dark robes and are surrounded by a cold chill in the air. There are five men in front of her. The others seem to show deference to them. The one in the middle staring at her with crossed arms is taller and broader than the rest. His shoulders covered by something with spikes and his face entirely covered. On one side of him stand two men with helmets, one shows his face, one only his eyes. They seem human though. The other side had one who looked human and one of a species she didn't know, red skin and odd bits to his face. She didn't know what human was but she knew when she saw them. How did she know that? Who was she even? What is the place she was in? There is a pit of terror in her stomach that only grows larger as she stares.

One of the men in robes steps forward. "My lords, while she is a success of these experiments. The processes involved tend to leave not only no memory of previous life, but no memory at all. The subject will need to be taught things as basic survival memory returns.

The man turns to her. "These are doctors." He gestures to the men wearing robes. "We are Sith. The empire is ours and following orders of the Sith is required." He turns to gesture to the five men. "These are Darths of the Dark Council." He gestures at each in turn. "Darth Decimus, Darth Acharon, Darth Marr, Darth Vowrawn and Darth Ravage. They are your masters, your everything. You exist only to serve their will and worship at their feet in complete loyalty and obedience. When you greet them, you kneel. When you address them, you speak only when necessary or when spoken to. You keep things short and only address them as my Lord." She nods only to have him gesture at her. She remains still, she doesn't know what he wants. He grabs her and shoves her to the floor. Oh, she's supposed to kneel. He wanted her to kneel to these Darths, these beings of power who she existed for. If she knew why she existed.

She catches herself and kneels quickly. Her voice cracks with pain and confusion and disuse. "My lords." There's a sense of satisfaction in the air.

The deep voice seems to come from the man in the middle, Darth Marr if she remembers correctly. "You are Agent Fifteen, you are the Eye of the Sith and will be our eyes and ears inside Imperial Intelligence." The next words do not seem directed at her. "She is acceptable. See to it that she is trained and prepared thoroughly but quickly. Start immediately." The men behind and beside her bow deeply as the five men sweep out of the room, already discussing things amongst themselves.

When the cortosis blade scraped against his throat, he saw the Cipher smile, despite the lightsaber at his own throat. Their eyes met and Tyrenic could feel his stomach flutter as the Cipher winked at him. A split second later, they were fighting again, sparks flying as they struck and parried.

The whole thing had made him nervous so he'd made sure the padawans were tucked away below deck where they couldn't hear. He was glad of that now. All four adults were staring in shock, struggling to process. In one conversation, everything had been changed. Rusk was now in charge. They were heading to a space station where the padawans, since they were still underage, would be sent to Tython. The adult Jedi would be fitted with Force suppressent collars. The council was trying to find a way out. To shift as many Knights to the service corps as they could while they fought the senate. But the law, the changes, it made leaving the Order, or even stepping down from being a knight almost impossible so long as a state of war with the empire remained. They legally weren't allowed to leave. And illegally leaving was almost impossible, and with the threats from the republic if the Jedi Order did not comply, and the empire… There wasn't much that could be done for now. The law had been rushed, a middle of the night, secret vote that the Jedi didn't hear about until it was halfway done and they were refused the chance to be heard. They were fighting it, but it was in place until it was overturned. There was no choice.

Rusk wasn't given any choices either, he was told that he was now the one responsible for three adult Jedi, and two minor padawans and required to ensure all 5 made it to where they were required to be as quickly as possible and none of them tried to run. When they got there, he was the one required to, at gunpoint if necessary, take the padawans to their shuttle to Tython, to take Tyrenic and Shelerik and Kira to recieve their collars and then to either their new military masters or to the required transport and sign them off to the soldier responsible for the next leg of transport. He was responsible for ensuring they would walk on their leashes, like akk dogs.

All of them were in shock and dismay that they were even in this position. What were they going to do? Rusk is torn between his loyalty to the Repblic and a bone deep sense that this is Wrong. But the Jedi resisting, so should he? The Jedi each are trying to decide if the consequences for themselves and the order can be outweighed by the consequences of staying, if running might be the better choice.

Rusk stands with his head bowed, his eyes unseeing as he supports himself against the holotable. Kira has fallen to her knees, trying to meditate. Shelerik hit the wall once and now stand with his head and a fist pressed to it. Tyrenic stands rigidly straight and frozen, staring straight ahead. All of them, lost in their own swirling thoughts and emotions. What were they going to do? What could they do? Was there a solution they couldn't see or was it as hopeless as it seemed to be?

It had taken a few hours before the Jedi could pull themselves together and figure out how they wanted to present things to the padawans. They weren't like so many children of the galaxy. They could handle the reality, particularly as they would be going back to Tython. But still, the older Jedi didn't want them to worry too much. Not if they could prevent that. Perhaps they could keep the greatest fears that they had from their minds for a time.
