It's a strange life

I feel like, I don’t have to wear a mask around him. I feel like, I can breath around him. I can laugh. I can speak my mind. He makes me smile with every detail of him. I don’t have to worry about what team. I don’t have to worry about politics. I don’t have to worry about the outside. I don’t have to about my scars, or my body. He makes me want to try harder. To get up. To eat. To sleep. To dream of impossible things. I go blind around him. I am afraid though. I am afraid he doesn’t feel the same. I’m afraid he’d push away. I’m afraid he’d find another. I’m afraid he’d forget. I’m afraid, because I go blind around him. Does he really care? Does he really see? This violin must be cared for, because my seams are coming undone. One more dagger and I’m done for. One more crack and I’ll shatter. This harpsichords threads are fraying. One more lie and I might stop breathing. One more goodbye and it might be the last time. I go blind around you. I can think clearly around you. I want to live for you.
