I recently travelled up to San Francisco from L.A. to create a few pieces from my urban decollage/collage project. All paper matter was extracted from The Mission and re-installed throughout the Dogpatch neighborhood.
This project utilized found paper to explore themes of physicality and the creative / corrosive processes that naturally occur in the urban environment. Contour, layer, and texture are the primary pictorial elements of these works.
This pieces was installed on Indiana just south of 23rd street on 1/6/14.
