When two become one....

It was only Sam’s birthday, not Cait’s, but the picture chosen by BAFTAs, and retweeted by his friends, has the two of them in it.

Well, that IS the official, public, story.

But there is plenty of evidence, many years’ worth of evidence in fact, that the unofficial, private, story is a very, very different one.

Yep, there isn’t anything about that pic to suggest that it is anything other than exactly what it appears to be: a candid photo of a couple going about their daily life together.

Does it really matter? No. ‘Cause that’s the thing about being in love- you are happy anywhere you are as long as you are together!

...and together they were. That’s what matters.

Body Talk: how a couple who are not physically touching each other can still manage to be touching each other EVERWHERE and speaking volumes about who they are to each other even when they are just “sitting there”

For these two it starts in the top with Sam’s head actually tilted towards hers and hers angled towards him and then continues down into the shoulders with Sam’s torso turned towards hers whilst leaning towards her as well as she leans a bit forward in her pose to close the gap between them even a bit more. It’s a protective and caring posture between the two of them from him towards her.

And then the hands. His right and her left would very easily touch each other if it weren’t for Sam’s left hand clasping that right hand of his instead. But for that left hand stopping it there would be a hand clasp that would bring both of those outside arms across them and make a barrier of sorts- with the two of “us” inside the arms and closed off from the outside world even as they sit amongst it- another caring and protective posture that is implied by their pose even if his hand has “interrupted” it.

Their crossed legs complete the “us” sentiment with his right leg coming in front of both of hers and her right toe tucked right up against his left ankle effectively putting her crossed legs protected behind and underneath his.

WE FORGOT TO TAKE A PIC...!

.....but if we HAD taken one it would have looked just like this one! It would have had me looking oh, so happy with, and more than just a little bit possesive of, the woman standing pressed against my arm. The woman who, in turn, seems quite happy and comfortable standing oh, so close to me and draping her arm, possessively, across my shoulder....

...And then we would have ended up, as we do whenever we take pictures together, looking just like a close and happy couple. And that’s not the story that we are supposed to be selling with these public outings! So, we took no pic!

And then there is that “We”...which certainly calls to mind an “Us”- a couple- who, together, attended a party and then, collectively, forgot (or were told not) to get a pic done together since the inevitable outcome would only reinforce the “WE”. (It’s hard for two people to not look like an “US” when they are one!)

Yep, the fact that this stuff always ramps up as we approach any sort of outlander related function really only makes it look even more fake doesn’t it?

And yes, it does seem to be Cait’s year to take the lead for the “private life” marketing- though with every move documented on IG or by paps it’s a bit far fetched to asks me to consider that it is her true “private” life that we are being bludgeoned with lol!

It’s always the little things…the things that happen unconsciously…that give it away…

Like playing with that ring that you wear all the time, at least all the time when you aren’t in the public eye. Anyone who wears a ring knows this gesture. You grasp it with the fingers of the opposite hand. You toy with it and move it around. Especially when you are distracted, like here at an impromptu appearance. And just because it’s momentarily not there doesn’t change the habit one bit. Anyone who wears a ring knows.

Yes, she WAS there, and she WAS in a video shared by the make up artist. But it wasn’t exactly a video WITH him. She’s standing quite a ways off from Sam when she does that hair flip whilst he is getting his tie adjusted in the background. That’s not exactly WITH him in my book, anon. And it looks like that’s as close as she got he entire evening too since the only pics of them posing “together” are obvious fakes.

And as to why fake a pic? Probably to cover up that little problem of no pics of them “together” the entire evening. Because there aren’t any. Not even one. And there should be. There really should be. It’s very Odd for a guy to fly all the way from Scotland to LA to take “his” girl to a fancy party but then not spend even enough time at her side to get even one photo done. And, no, it’s not about “privacy”, not after there has been a pap walk. Actually there has been more than one pap walk- so not for privacy are they avoiding pics m. Pictures of the two of them “together” at an event like this would be natural, and expected, if this thing between them is really what it’s said to be. But with stiff like this going on it seems that it’s really not. So pics really were needed here to sell this thing, but there were not any available. So if you can’t get the real thing- then have a go at faking it. Who knows you might get lucky and convince somebody.
