when people get desperate to deny the transfeminity of a character, they will start employing a definition of "genderfluid" that is mutually exclusive with "trans woman" and then never she/her the character in question. its so blatant that they shouldnt get away with it as much as they do.

"X did nothing wrong" actually no, X did a lot of things wrong. X fucked up. But I also know that people like X live their lives under a microscope, and that accusations against them tend to get magnified by bias both conscious and unconscious alike, and frankly it scares the crap out of me that you have not only chosen not to question what you've heard, but that you are seeking such drastically disproportionate vengeance on a total stranger. that's not normal.

i think it's stupid when people get upset about characters like Jax or Ralsei being explicitly transfeminine because "Their story was really relatable to me as a transmasc, and now people will call me transmisogynistic if I headcanon them that way". Like. You know it's possible to relate to women right.

not to poke the bear but there is something to be said about how people feel about Caine vs how people feel about Jax and it has to do with transmisogyny

and to be clear this isnt me hating on Caine. im just pointing out the double standard

like fundamentally the concept of the femboy is what a transmisogynistic society wants out of transfems- for us to be skinny, white, and young, for us to put the maximum effort into passing but to still maintain and affirm the sexgender binary by identifying with our agab. and, of course, to be sexually available. they want us to do that or die.

the idea of a young transfem finding this as her only option, her shaving meticulously and spending an hour a day doing makeup and voice training and cutting her weight, and after all that to not even ask to be respected as anything but a submissive sex object thats still Biologically Male... harrowing. surely some people are happy that way but...
