one day, though, muse b finds out she’s pregnant. and she realizes that muse a is not a suitable father for her baby. he’s too dangerous. death and destruction follows him everywhere he goes, and, as much as she cares about him, she knows he’s not exactly a good person. so she gives it to him straight: she’s going to end their relationship, move, and raise their child alone, and muse a is going to stay away. muse a truly loves muse b, so he agrees to her terms, and does her one better: he’ll send money to help raise the kid, and even pay for her new home.

fast forward some years. muse b is settled into her new life with her child, and muse a has stuck to his promises. at least until one day, he shows up on her doorstep. he has several armed guards, and a car ready to go.

muse a and muse b have been together for a number of years, they were settled and everything seemed like it was going to plan. but muse a had fallen out of love a long time ago– the spark faded, but they felt they needed to stay because it was expected of them. everybody else thought they were forever, including muse b. now muse a has to escape and break the news, but maybe it’ll be the wake up call muse b needs.

muse a broke up with their partner months ago, but still the tears keep falling and the only person they feel like they can turn to is their best friend, muse b. they’d only become close since muse a had been in a relationship, so never did either think of anything as being more than friends between them. but the more muse b consoles muse a, offering advice and a shoulder to cry on, muse a starts to realise that perhaps there is a light in the dark after all.

muse a and muse b have always had a comfortable relationship– there’s never been too many arguments or bumps in the road, it’s smooth sailing and they’re happy. but when muse a suffers a loss, they’re immediately stricken with grief and are spiralling out of control. muse b realises what it means to truly love someone at their best and their worst.
