SSNJ: Hello all, I've been made aware of many attempts of contact, including a very interesting prey animal I've never seen in this region(said animal proceeded to steal one of my musical pearls, so let me know if you hear it). I've reactivated my communications so I may continue my work as usual.
SSNJ: I have noticed recently that the global community has been dwindling, and I mourn those we have lost. As for those of us still standing, contact me if you can or want, as our time is running out.
SSNJ: If you happen to be from my local group, I have private words for you that are highly inappropriate for a public broadcast.
SSNJ: On another note, I've been noticing the decay in my systems reversing! I was aware of the fact I had a symbiotic relationship with the animals, but this? I'm overjoyed!! The local decomposers in and around my can have spiked dramatically as well, and so have the tiny springtails!
SSNJ: I've also figured out how to insert interesting emotives in my messages(˃͈◡˂͈)! It's so fun!!
SSNJ: To re-Iterate(>ᴗ•), this is an open invitation for anyone receiving this to contact me if you need or want. My communication arrays are vast, so there's a good chance I will be able to recieve 𝘢𝘯𝘥 respond!

MESSAGE CONTENTS:
ʜᴇʟʟᴏ(•̀’◡’•̀)ﾉ! I'm Minnie, and this is an ask blog for my Iterator OC, Severed Strings Na Jayu(SSNJ),or Severed Strings for short. I've built her personality and region brick by brick in my head, and I now have a headache. I would be delighted to talk about her 𝘢𝘴 her with other people.
Her identity:
SSNJ's pronounce are they/her
SSNJ is a musically inclined iterator who makes musical pearls in her free time.
They're extremely far away from 5P, LTTM, NSH, and SRS. they only heard about the drama between that group because of gossip spread by Unparalleled Innocence that made its way to her local group while her outward communications were disabled, they kept her recievers up though. Those rumors made it to her local group, who — other than herself — didn't care to "meddle in the affairs of the ill-fated and far away."
They're very social, much to the irritation and malcontent of her local group. They were created to biologically and behaviorally analyze the producers and very small consumers(prey animals) to see if they have any evidence of solving The Great Problem or bypassing it due to their percieved lack of intelligent thought or intention.
(Her overseers are a yellowish-green)
While being very social, they're also very shy. It sometimes appears as suspicion, which is a problem.
They are looked down upon in her local group, a group located in a semi-arid climate but with little droughts. Despite this, they do her job diligently while also doing her absolute best to try and broadcast outside of her local groups, reaching as far as Five Pebbles very briefly(they never got an answer from him).
Going back to the social aspect, whenever they found out something new or interesting about the given prey animals and producers, they shared it as far as they possibly could. Whether that be public forums or loud public announcements to the surrounding area. Due to this kind and social nature to pretty much everything, they've developed a sort of symbiotic relationship with some of the mechanical prey animals(tiny centipedes, coalescapedes, and lantern mice), to help fix the breaking parts of her can. When they broadcasted this knowledge, they were publicly bullied on a broadcast for "seeking companionship with inferior beings."
After that incident, they were distraught, and shut off her outward broadcast systems temporarily.
For many, many, MANY cycles, they went radio silent. In that time frame, they learned of her passion for making music from the sounds they heard from her overseers, surrounding equipment, and little animals that find their way into her chambers.
She was made aware of her local group's worry when she suddenly was hit with a forced broadcast from her nearest neighbor, Liminal Limitations, who proceeds to scold her because of her "childish behavior" and "worrisome habits." LL then let SSNJ know that the ones who listened to her broadcasts were extremely worried about her sudden radio silence(SSNJ didn't know they even cared), and that — outside of LL — her local group has been very public about their irritation that she "resorted to such attention-seeking behaviors."

SSNJ: Can an iterator feel joy? Because I believe that's what I'm feeling currently.
SSNJ: I found a small beetle, and I followed it with my overseer, at some point in its journey, it flipped upside down. I thought that was where it would end because an insect seldom ever gets up from that, but then it locked its thorax and abdomen together and CLICKED! It shot into the air and it righted itself with just that small movement! It was so fascinating! I followed it more, and I spotted another! This time with bioluminescent spots on its back that looked like eyes!
SSNJ: It was amazing! I look forward to studying these insects further!
SSNJ: I've also figured out how bioengineering works! I've tried to make an insect, and it's surprisingly easy! Plants are the tricky ones, if you try too hard you eventually just get an immortal plant, which is fascinating but very difficult to deal with... However aphids are a very effective way to get rid of immortal plants, simply because they starve them of nutrients in large quantities.
SSNJ: I don't particularly know how to do larger organisms like slugcats, but I will do my best to figure that out!

SSNJ: Great Cycle, everyone! I have made an amazing find(⁎˃ᴗ˂⁎)!!
SSNJ: I have discovered that some of the prey animals evolved to use acoustic camouflage! They use their own vocal frequency to match the surrounding area's frequency, and camouflage! It's quite fascinating(｡· v ·｡).
SSNJ: Another soupçon of information — that I gathered through observation of a vertebrate secondary consumer — is that some of the ones with the ability to regrow limbs can also regrow 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘴! I'm unsure whether or not this happens with 𝘢𝘭𝘭 vertebrate secondary consumers, as the chance to observe an animal injured in that way is highly unlikely, and I feel that injuring an animal in that way just to observe them is highly unethical and morally wrong. The concept of morals is unclear to me, but that is another topic for another time!

SSNJ: Severed strings, for now. I'm still irritated with you.
LL: Right. Severed strings, I didn't not mean to come off as angry. I was simply worried, and I feared that you had decayed like our predecessors. I simply wanted to contact you and notify you of the others' worry, and I may have stepped out of line in my attempt at conveying that.
SSNJ: There are three things wrong with you "apology", Liminal Limitations. One, regardless of what you 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 to do, it still came off as harsh and more like a lecture than a genuine attempt at communicating your worry. Two, if you had listened to the broadcast that I sent before going offline, instead of joining in with the others' bullying, you would have known that my can's decay has been declining steadily. Three, if you wanted to contact me, you should have sent a messenger rather than going directly to a forced broadcast. The only communications system that I shut off was the outward one. You could have contacted me regularly. However, I'm checking my archives, and I have no instance before the forced broadcast where you tried contacting me. SSNJ: Hello all! I've created another musical pearl! This one is very upbeat, I'm very proud of myself! I used some of the aounds the scavengers make, but not from their bodies, but from an object they made! It makes a nice thumping noise that went well for the introduction to this piece! I also added lyrics, though it was extremely hard to modify my voice to the pitch I wanted, and my voice box still feels a bit off. But it came out so well!
SSNJ: I wonder if there are any iterators out there who have music as one of their objectives.
