Seventy Nine Days of Summer: Highlight Package - Ultimate Week
I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging on every day of my summer holiday. As I outlined at the start the idea was for it to make sure I didn't waste a day. If you look through there are probably only about 3 or 4 where absolutely nothing was achieved. This however could be seen as an achievement in itself, recognising that it is ok to do little, occasionally...
I knew this was going to be my best opportunity of having a care free work free extended period before a gap year in 22 months time. I feel I couldn't have done it any better and I've loved sharing it all on this blog and would love to look back on it in years to come. I am even looking into how to save the posts as documents so they won't be lost when somebody hacks Tumblr.
The following is a 'Highlights Week'. It has nothing to do with the quality of blog posts but these are what I can say have been my favourite 7 days. They are in no particular order, but I'd say 1, 2 and 3 are ones I would live over and over again. If you click on the day/date it will take you to the post. Here goes:
Day 23: July 6th- The trip to Cadbury World
Day 26: July 9th- The 24 hour day to Trinidad
Day 63: August 15th- Run to Camp Nou and then tour & fountains.
Day 5: June 18th- D of E group sleepover
Day 17: June 30th- D of E climbing Sugar Loaf Mountain (I have chosen this day as opposed to the final day of the trip because, if you read, that was full of frustration and only really ended with relief, doesn't make it into the Highlights Week)
Day 47: July 30th- This was a sense of achievement, tough day but ride complete.
Day 34: July 17th- An absolutely incredible experience
Now this is not to say that you shouldn't have a look at the other 72 days! I've only managed to fit in one from spain and two from Trinidad where the hockey isn't even mentioned! The reports and pictures from both the cycling trip and D of E are also good not to mention my work experience at YouGov plus much much more!!! Thank you for reading and if you've got any feedback I'd love to hear it! :)
