I had one of those family gatherings things so I made this while pretending to be present 🫡🦅.

About the DL mothers

Cordelia - Cordelia is the daughter of the Demon Lord Burai and  the First Blood  Mene . It is very strange why would a first blood woman of the rank of Mene from the royal family would even consider to have a relationip with the Demon King ( since he is a sub-race ),but Carla suspects it was all part of the Karlheinz’s plan and since Mene was dying by the Endzeit already ,Karl found another way to obtain another First Blood woman for his experiments - which was Mene’s daughter from Burai - Cordelia. Mene dies a little after giving birth to Cordelia ,and the little princess being a female(and females do not rule in the Demon World) ,was getting the most attention and spoiling not by her father,but  by Karlheinz,who was trying to manipulate and court her ,to make her fall in love with him from a very early age,in order to use her. Not knowing for his plans and growing up only with the “affections” and attentions she was receiving by Karlheinz(even if suspecting he might want something from her in return),Cordelia grew to love him and only him ,him becoming everything for her and also a role-model .(Dark Fate Ayato’s route Cordelia’s confession to the heroine) At first after marrying her Karlheinz hopes that through her love and blood,he will change and become the “New Adam” that will change the Demon World .But since that doesn’t happen Karlheinz starts to blame her for loving him in too “demonic” ways and therefor saying she is unsuitable to be the “Eve”,instead of realizing that the problem was in him for being incapable of loving at all even in the frames of their demonic species. Karlheinz continues with his experiments and researches,while at the same time grows more fascinated by the “humans”, he starts to glorify the human type of affection ,even though unable to understand it . He starts to think his kind,just like him are simply incapable of loving because of their immortal lives. Doing more researches of the Endzeit ,he decides that his offspring can become the perfect Adam and tries to push Cordelia to give him sons faster through marrying another woman (Beatrix) . And plotting to one day use Cordelia’s heart in a human vessel to combine pure demon and human in order to create the new “Eve”for new species that to replace the current demons. In order to achieve that he not only uses Cordelia and gives her no love of that he have promised her,but also neglects her and mentally breaks her ( which he does to his other two wives too ) so his offspring to be incapable to make the normal for their demon kind bonds at all,and one day they to create the new bond with the human vessel easier. Giving only grief,betrayal,cheating and neglect to Cordelia, Karlheinz teaches her that  this is the way to “Love”, which affects her deeply and also molds her as a mother to their sons.A mother incapable of pure affection ,a person who doesn’t put any meaning behind the empty world of “love”. Because of her free spirited nature Cordelia doesn’t want to see herself as a victim,and wishes to be equal to Karlheinz and to give him the same love he does and same treatment he gives to her. She becomes strict to her sons,especially to Ayato because she still hopes a perfect child will prove the bond between her and Karlheinz,if his favorite son is her son. She neglects her other sons when they are young and doesn’t mind openly cheating to their father even in front of them,because for her that is the “love game” between her and Karlheinz. Cordelia is desired by countless men,the most desired and valued woman in the Demon World, and she doesn’t mind paying attention to some until she gets bored,acting like a spoiled princess.But even so in her heart she never betrays her love to Karlheinz and does everything out of love for him,the twisted love he showed her. Cordelia has an affair even with Karlheinz’s younger brother- Richter,who gets deeply in love with her,but she never deceives him and shows him he is only there to please and serve her but will never replace her true love.Giving him in return for his services,pleasure and her power giving blood. But also,when one of her sons - Laito grows up and becomes adult,Cordelia shows him it is okay to finally unleash all of his secret desires towards her and permits him to be her lover too.Seeing Karlheinz having an incest relationship with Christa and even a son out of it,for her this is again part of their “cruel ways of loving”.She keeps believing all that Karl does is out of love to her and she does the same to him. Since Cordelia is incapable of expressing feelings or begin affectionate aside of the carnal lust, she does try to bond with her son Laito this way,but realizes she can’t because she will only craves for real only Karlheinz’s love ,and breaks Laito’s heart telling him he can never replace his father(Dark Fate fandisc Laito’s route). While Laito grows more jealous towards her and starts killing her lovers, Karlheinz punishes him for him indulging in such affairs with his mother.And Cordelia to show him his place also makes out with Richter in front Laito ,making him watch while he is in prison,how another man takes her ,in order to show him his place and not to overstep it or try to posses her(Diabolik Lovers game Laito’s route). Overwhelmed by the abusive behavior but mostly the rejected love ,the triplets who love their mother to the point of obsession end up killing her. Ayato is the first one to directly oppose her and to try take by force from her the refused love, he wounds her mortally and tries to suck her dry.Craving her affection he wishes at least her blood,but Cordelia keeps crying for Karlheinz until the end. Trying to seek Laito’s help against Ayato,doesn’t save her ,because Laito already knows he will never have her either,so he better seal her for himself in her death,in order not to share her,he pushes her off the balcony . Finding the dead corps Kanato sets it on fire to “warm her up”,and then gathers the ashes so he can hold onto her only for himself too,then puts them in the only present he had from her- his Teddy . But before Kanato burns her dead corps,Richter finds her,and Cordelia somehow getting the idea, she might not survive makes him take her heart and implant it into a new vessel and then resurrect her. Richter does that,and from the shadows manipulated by Karlheinz, this is how her heart ends up in the heroine, so Karl’s experiments can continue forward. Later in Diabolik Lovers ( game and anime) ,Cordelia has the chance to manifest or take over the vessel.While in the AU of More,Blood(fandisc) Karlheinz seals her spirit against that. In Dark Fate ( fandisc) Cordelia is temporary resurrected by Carla Tsukinami ,her older cousin she doesn’t know about. In order for him to use her by revealing in front her and Ayato about how Karlheizn truly manipulated her and for what he used her and her sons. Cordelia gets heartbroken and loses desire to live and fight ,but still tries to find Karl and ask him the truth, and when she goes in his castle and in his special room he doesn’t even show his face to her and only speaks ,hurting her both with his words and draining the energy that still keeps her alive,Ayato witnessing this makes him hate Karlheinz even more and realize all of his misery was because of him,and that Cordelia was a victim just like him,he fights Karlheizn to death. Beatrix- In neither of the Diabolik Lovers game Universes,there isn’t much info about Beatrix and her background story ,nor about her marriage as a second wife to Karlheinz.However most likely Karlheinz took her in order to try push Cordelia to give him sons faster,which were the most important ones for his experiments,so his second marriage was most likely a part of his cruel games towards his first wife. Beatrix was the first to give birth to a son - Shu, who she ended up focusing all of her attention on while neglecting her second born Reiji, because she desperately wanted to prove a wroth to Karlheinz,seeking his attention and acknowledgement,and not wanting to lose not only as heritage but also as a mother to his first wife Cordelia. Beatrix’s cold and blind ambitions to become something above Cordelia was what ruined her sons’ childhood ,oppressing one of them with the burden to become the perfect heir while depriving him completely from normal childhood,and the other one neglecting and treating like a second rate person just because he wasn’t the first born ,made Shu grow up detached and Reiji psychotic,capable of burning down an entire village to try to please her and then to endlessly hate his older brother,feeling inferiority complexes. However Beatrix died at peace, and proud of Reiji despite the fact that he had hired the heroine’s father, a vampire hunter, to kill her.Because in her eyes he have finally proved himself to her and also freed her from her endless cold ambitions and competition for a man who didn’t really cared for her (Karlheinz) . Christa- As a pure born vampire in the royal clan ,Christa was famous among them with her pale white beauty therefor called the “White Rose” (because of her Albino looks) . While in the first game ( Diabolik Lovers) ,Subaru doesn’t know the whole reasons for her marriage with Karlheinz,he assumes it was because of that .He also assumes she was forced into marriage,because Christa has always said to him she feels “dirtied” by “that man” and by Subaru’s birth . However in More,Blood (fandisc game) is revealed that Christa married willingly Karlheinz and did loved him ,which was putting Subaru into conflicts ,being unable to understand her bipolar tantrums between love and hate towards his father.At first wanting to blame Karlheinz for her state but then starting to blame himself because Christa would show disgust mostly towards him and run into Karl’s arms. In Diabolik Lovers ( game) due to her tantrums and being dangerous for herself and for Subaru’s life she would constantly be held locked in a tower or dungeon. In Dark Fate ( fandsic game) more of her back story and marriage circumstances were revealed. It was revealed that Christa was the only one in knowledge of Karlheinz’s experiments and him needing Cordelia as the last First Blood woman (even when Cordelia never knew her true heritage herself) . Christa viewed Karlheinz as her direct sibling, loving him as a big brother,while he was in fact her close blood relative-most likely her first cousin. Even though she having rather platonic feelings towards him and a brother-complex ,Karlheinz decides to take her for wife, which doesn’t really required her agreement. Yet still, despite all the facts she had in front her,that Karlheinz is a person only to use others and love no one,she wanted to believe he loved only her ,while using the other women, and was happy to become his bride. A little after that,though, Christa discovered she was also a mere part of his experiment.This time to create an incest born child for his further plans. Getting torn between the realization she was just like the other women for him - a tool, and is not loved,and the strong love she have always felt for him mostly as a brother, and realizing she is pregnant with that child plot of his incest experiments,Christa feels betrayed,dirtied and heartbroken, which is the main reason her ,in general,  fragile mentality to get broken completely. Karlheinz continues his experiments the same way he does on his other wives (mainly to Cordelia) towards Christa too in order to mentally break them,as a part of them developing bad bonds with their sons,who one day to be more open for a bond with a human. Growing completely mad,Christa starts to at one moment hate Karlheinz in disgust and seeing the grown up Subaru to see Karl in him and hate him and yell and throw stuff at him wanting to hurt or kill him.At the other moment to see Karlheinz as her “beloved kind big brother” who cares for her and she desires only for herself,to cry for his presence endlessly while he purposely neglects her,and again to mistake Subaru for him,to cling to him or try to push herself to him (which would spook Subaru off) . And even to mistake the heroine ( because of her blood scent) for Cordelia and feel envious for being with Karlheinz( Subaru in real) and try to poison her. During Subaru’s childhood ,she was giving him absolute hell and even the triplets ( Ayato in Subaru’s route in More,Blood) note that Subaru had it the worst because of his crazy mother (Ayato referring to Christa as  “hysteric old hag”).She would call him a dirty abomination that ruined her,try to hurt him or beg him to kill her. (In Diabolik Lovers he does that) .While in More,Blood’s AU Christa is alive and in the good ending of Subaru’s route she could act more normal and kind to him and his future bride. In Dark Fate their relationship gets worse when she tries to kill the heroine,out of her endless jealousy for Cordelia not to have Karlheinz ,but Subaru still cares for her(The Tsukinami brothers kill her there) and he can’t forgive Karlheinz for how he have purposely ruined her,which Karl admits himself in front of him and the heroine.
