Another one bites the dust

“You heard me.” He spat, glaring at the woman as his temper bubbled within him at her attitude. “What so you’re going to pretend that you didn’t see me the other day when you ignored me?” The male asked raising a brow as he stepped forward. 

“I heard you, yes. Am I sure you’re making any sense or I’ve heard right? Not at all.” Her brows furrowed as her features scrunched up in confusion, watching as he stepped closer and choosing to not back down by instead meeting him toe to toe as she looked up. “What day? Vinnie, I am telling you, this is the first time that I’ve seen you. I haven’t ignored you, I would never do that. Well not never, there was always the time you really pissed me off, but I haven’t ignored you this time.” Willow rambled getting slightly distracted.

Faye blinked in confusion, not sure what Willow was doing let alone how to combat the situation. “You.” She said, clearly both confused and frustrated by the situation. Was she trying to throw her off? What did she want? “I still don’t get it, Will.” She admitted under her breath. “Why stay with them?”

“Little Bird, I don’t know what you’re asking me? I must stay with them, who else would I be with. I belong with them, they’re my family.” Willow didn’t understand what was going on, why her sister would all of a sudden start asking these questions after all this time. “Now tell me, what is really upsetting you? Who do I need to curse?”

Vincent rolled his eyes at her act of ignorance. “You’re going to act dumb now?” 

“Excuse me?” She found herself biting back, her own temper rising.”Who do you think you’re talking to Vincent? I’m not acting anything so you best watch your mouth.” Most would never have dreamed speaking to the male in such a way, but Willow had never had any reason to fear him and their whole relationship had been based around the back and forth between them. She was one of the few who would actually go toe to toe with the Slytherin.

“Oh, so now you want to talk to me?” He snapped scoffing as he shook his head at her in disbelief.

Willow took a step backwards shocked by his words and having no idea what he was talking about. “What? Of course, I do. Why wouldn’t I?”

Willow’s reaction caused Faye’s brows to draw together, mirroring her sister’s confusion. “Willow…” She said, worried about her sister’s sudden change in demeanour. “What do you want me to do?” The blonde asked, confused by the whole predicament – as always. She didn’t understand why her sister couldn’t just stop with this.

It had been a while since Willow’s defenses ever slipped but in this occasion when she had felt nothing but confusion and like she didn’t know who her sister was at this moment. Her sister had always been Willow’s soft spot and weakness, enough to cut through everything that was going through her life or head. “Faye, what are you talking about?” Her voice came out softer. 

Faye took in a deep breath, held it for a moment before she exhaled again. “Fine – I’ll pretend it’s not an act. There are better ways to have fun.” She said, repeating words that she had recalled being told in the past. “I’ll even give you my list if you’re stuck for ideas.”  

“Not an act? What are you talking about” Willow faltered in her steps as her brows furrowed in confusion, it was enough to cause her to go silent momentarily. 

“You can drop the act, Willow.” Faye said, chewing on the inside of her lip as her gaze landed on the witch. She’d never liked the situation Willow had got herself into. The blonde turned to look at the individual Willow had been speaking to originally. “You should go.” She said, her tone forceful but a small smile graced her lips nonetheless.

“Act? Now what on earth would make you think that this is an act?” Willow tutted as she pouted at her sister, while the other made their quick escape. “You’ve ruined my fun, little sister. Now what am I suppose to do?”

The male clenched his jaw as he looked at her with utter disdain and defiance in his eyes making no effort to answer her, after all, it was only a day ago that she had ignored him – or well so he thought.

Willow noticed the look she was receiving from him, and couldn’t help but feel confused not understanding what she had done to get that reaction. “Vinnie?” She didn’t know what else to say but you could hear the confusion in her voice.

“You should leave,” Vincent stated keeping his eyes fixed ahead of him. He had by all intents and purposes been put on house arrest by his brother and although he’d ignored Damian’s order to stay home he was going to at least follow his instruction to keep to himself.

“Aw, but Vinnie I wanted to have some fun. If I leave that means I have to go cause trouble on my own, and we both know that’s never any fun.” She pouted as she slowed her jog back down to a walk now that she’d caught up to him. 

The witches eyes followed the woman as she circled her. “Does that make you the kitty cat?” She asked grinning. 

“I like to think I’m more of the mouse trap. Though I am rather partial to enjoying the chance to play with my food when I catch it.”

Elsie popped up from her spot on the floor behind the bushes. “Hi!” She replied cheerily.

“Well if it isn’t a little mouse that’s come crawling into my little treasure trove..” Willow circled the girl as she looked her over.

“That literally makes no sense, you’re aware of that, right?” 

“You’re aware that I do not care? What gave you the impression that you could just claim this seat and not have anyone else sit here?”
