Summerween has officially begun.
In the strange town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, Halloween is so important that it’s celebrated twice a year. That tradition became Summerween: a delightfully odd combination of summer sunshine and spooky season energy.
Inspired by those classic American summer illustrations filled with pools, vacations, and endless afternoons in the sun, I imagined a witch trading her broom for a pool float and enjoying the season her own way.
Maybe Halloween is simply too good to be celebrated only once a year.
