Before there were conventions and horror festivals, there were Spook Shows. They lasted from the 1940 to the 1960s and were pretty much what you expect them to be. This poster is from the early era, so late 1940s/early 1950s. (The ghost design top right is very 1930s, the witch and Frankenstein’s monster already point to the style of 1950s horror mags.)
