In the darkness of the night, the meteor went mostly unnoticed, its speed, where it was going to crash, all seemed unknown for the beauty of the night.
Eventually it crashed, landing in some sort of field, somewhere between Gotham and Metropolis.
The meteor appeared to be a simple grey, until it cracked. Opening in two halves, revealing green and red rock.
A humanoid form crawled out of the rock, the first thing that stood out about the being was the red spike that formed an almost buns like form, and the two red spikes on each side of its face.
Its eyes were the same red as the spike, and the rest of their forms were green.
Kryptonite, the being was made of kryptonite, something that is as valuable as it's dangerous.
The being was small, less than 1m in height.
It looked around, a soft glow omitting from them, more specifically the red part of it.
A sort of aura of fear and child-like wonder surrounded it, affecting the feeling of any living thing getting too close, in a sort of reverse empath way.
Cassie had just been floating about, enjoying the night while it was still young before she heard the impact of something hitting the ground.
Gravitating towards the sound she saw the meteor and watched as it cracked open, she should probably call Diana, or Superman, or some sort of adult, but when had she ever done that.
She watched as something started to emerge from the meteor, or rather someone as she got to see more and more of the being.
She came in closer to get a better view before she saw its full glowing form, made of kryptonite and alive-
“Ohmygod”
The being tilted its head, a slow movement.
An aura of wariness and curiosity coming from them.
It stared, but didn't make any move.
The being looked clueless, only using the power of the red kryptonite to reach out to the living, as it was the only act that came naturally to them, the only way they truly knew how to interact.
The glow from the red kryptonite became stronger as the aura prolonged, having an effect on living further away.
The being tried to reach out as far as it could, it didn't know why, or how, or what, but it knew how to make people feel what they felt, and so it did.
"Ohmygod?" The voice that came was a mimicry of her own voice, the words weren't pronounced quite correctly, and the being surely didn't seem like it understand what its said, it was purely mimicry.
It talkes-
Cassie was not prepped for this, finding a living kryptonite being was not part of last weeks training session, or any training session ever for that matter.
she watched as the being reached out and carefully picked it up and after hearing the mimicking of her words she knew that she would not be letting go anytime soon.
“Hi -uh- kid?” Was it a kid? Oh well whats done was done, “I’m Cassie whats your name?”
The being didn't seem to appreciate being picked up.
The feeling projected by the being switching from wariness and curiosity to fear, becoming stronger and more intense.
The wild life hidden around the two reacting to the change quickly, the being's feeling triggers the instinct to flee and to attack in the wild life.
Thankfully none of the animals got close, they could be heard but not seen.
It tried to escape her arms, but their movements were clumsy at best.
The being then seemed to get a sudden realisation as it stopped moving.
Green spike emerged from the ground, sharp but none actually touching her, a warning, a plea.
"Oh!" It exclaimed, they still didn't seem to understand what it meant but they were attempting communication.

Okii.
If you don't mind me asking, how do you do a blog reset?
Like do you have to delete everything yourself or it there a fast way to do it?
//Personally I didn't delete old posts because I don't have the time for that 😅
//But, a faster way would be Tumblr's mass post editor– lemme grab a link for ya.
💬 3 🔁 64 ❤️ 223 · Mass Post Editor Thingy · So if anyone still doesn't know how to get to the mass post editor thing with the new theme th
//That's a post I use for access to the editor as normally it can only be accessed on computer, but the link works fine on mobile. Also, FYI you can mass private or delete 100 posts at a time and it only takes a few minutes to delete/private. But, if you're privatizing posts you can't mass un-private them, so.. 😬😬
//Hope this helps!!

A young kryptonite child ran up to him, holding a hare, how did she find one in Gotham? How did this child who isn't even one meter tall caught it? That is a mystery.
"Look mister! A cat!" The child said happily.
The kid radiated with happiness, literally, the part of her that is red kryptonite glowed slightly, projecting her happiness to anyone near, not much but noticeable.
She had run up to the nearest normal looking adult to show off her finding.
The hare seemed surprisingly calm.
@sentient-kryptonite
"Oh, how cute."
He smiled softly but for his own safety he likely shouldn't be near this child too long. Prolonged exposure to kryptonite was never good. But the child was cute. He didn't question where they came from or how they got the hare or even the education this child was recieving.
"It's a cute Cat!" She exclaimed.
She then looked at the hare with slight confusion.
"You are an it?" She asked the hare, who didn't answer, as it is a hare.
She waited for a few minutes for an answer.
When she realised she wouldn't get one she exclaimed, "It or not you are a Monarch!" she said it in full seriousness, the hare didn't seem to care about its new royal status.
He chuckled softly, amused by her seriousness but then cleared his throat and nodded very seriously.
"Yes, it is a cat, would you like me to properly officiate the ceremony so the, it, cat, thing, will become an official monarch?"
He offered gently, gesturing at a nearby place that looked naturally ceremonial.
She looked upset at that.
"It already is a monarch!" She disagreed.
She made a small crown out of green kryptonite, making sure no bit of it would be no red kryptonite and that it wouldn't be sharp.
She put it on the hare.
"Look! Monarch!"
His concern spiked as she put a kryptontie crown on the hare, he tried not to make it visible. He still wasn't sure if the prolonged exposure of kryptonite also had a bad effect on animals. He eased his own nerves by trying to remind himself that prolonged exposure was way longer than this.
"Ah, yes, I see my mistake."
He nodded seriously.
Seeming to caught on to his worry she decided to reassure him.
"I'm less radioactive than regular kryptonite! And the red kryptonite behaves differently, something to do with it being attached to a conscious being and it already being mutated before that." She informed him.
At least that's what she remembered from the lab.
Bruce is a little surprised by how easily she can read him but doesnt question it, it is quite reassuring that she isn't as radioactive as regular non sentient kryptonite.
"Well, thats quite a relief"
Bruce does wonder how she knows that about herself, what is her origin...?
"I was an accident." She informed him.
She stopped talking for a few minutes. Trying to remember why exactly the experiment was originally made.
A yes, energy.
"They were trying to use kryptonites radiation to convert it to energy, so they modified kryptonite to see how it would behave with different chemicals and how it would react to getting heated up like uranium is in nuclear power plant. And from these I existed!" She explained while still looking at the hare.
"Pretty cat." She told the hare.
Oh, dear.
He supposed this was just the natural trait every child shared, the oversharer trait. Goodness, he felt bad for her. To think of yourself as an accident, to be told you're an accident? He couldn't imagine the pain she must feel some days. The experiment itself was quite interesting, to try to use an alien mineral and turn it into energy was smart- he should've tried that, then again the only reason he hadnt were because of unknown variables. She was the result of not accounting for those variables. Not an unwelcome one though.
He smiled softly as she called the hare a cat again. He felt bad for her.
"So who are you staying with?"
"Mom." She replied simply.
She looked at the hare.
"They tested Kryptonite with multiple chemicals to see what was dangerous, to eliminate.." She stopped mid sentence, seeming to struggle to find a word. "Variable?" She added unsure, she wanted to add context.
"Oh, is that so? Where is she now?" He looked around for the so called mother of this child.
"Ooo~ that sounds like quite the interesting experiment, and yielded an even more interesting and cute result"
Bruce booped her on the nose.
"I don't know." She replied honestly.
Kaia is a kid, and like all kids she's filled with curiosity, and with how durable she is, she might not learn about danger as well as the other kids, difficult to know something is dangerous when it's not dangerous to you.
"It was! That's what Miss.Smith said at least! The most interesting result from an experiment meant to test safety." She said happily.
Thay was not good. Not in the slightest.
"Well, then Miss Smith is very correct about you! You are the most intresting result from that experiment. However, I think we should probably find your mom. Just in case."
There might not be a lot of things that can hurt this child but there still was a lot of people that might want to take advantage of this child and that didnt sit right with him.
"My mom's name is Cassie." She told him.
She decided to put down the hare. "Be free cat." She told the hare, the hare left.
You should check on your kid before she kidnaps a rat, raccoon or hare again while calling it a cat.
A WHAT IN THE WHAT NOW
@sentient-kryptonite what happened-????

She had run up to the nearest normal looking adult to show off her finding.
The hare seemed surprisingly calm.
@sentient-kryptonite
