It was buggy, and I pulled over at Crossroads Barbecue where I had had a sandwich on the way up the preceeding day; I needed to clean my visor because so many bugs had given their lives in the past hour to condition it then a Mr. Buddy Dallas pulled up on his mule (a four-wheeled ranch model) and struck up a conversation with me. We conversed on several topics (including the restaurant's Brunswick stew which Mr. Dallas highly recommends and says it won't leave you needing an antacid after esting it). Before parting, we agreed (though we both confessed to enjoying eating venison) that deer were too beautiful to shoot. Mr. Dallas said he suspected that shooting a deer was probably like killing a beautiful woman as he thought he couldn't it unless she was holding a switchblade on him. (at Crossroads BBQ)
