one of my f/os I really love is in a super popular ship and I feel bad because I have said ship art reblogged since he's in it but lately I've realized I actually just fucking hate the ship. I've had this issue with other f/os and their ships too before tbh I just get jealous and then feel like theyre happier with the person their shipped with and I stop everything but I'm really attatched to him so I refuse to do that but like...so much of fanart and fics to do with him is surrounding that ship. I don't even think I could talk about it in the fandom because the anime he's from has a WRETCHED fandom...that and also the character he's shipped with va even ships the ship. Guys we are #notwinning with this on π it just really bothers me and its also the fact that it feels like he gets reduced to just the ship. It means Anti-ship as in being against stuff like "ship and let ship", darkshipping, and whatnot. It isn't allowed here because it's so often tied to purity culture, moral superiority, censorship, and many other issues.

i only have 1 f/o but i have approximately 5 different self insert ocs and counting for said singular f/o each with different dynamics because. my f/o is a homestuck/hiveswap troll and i want to explore all the possible combinations because they're fun and my f/o is the only one i really feel attached to

It kinda makes me sad how being ficto or selfship is only supposed to be just a phase you grow out of for men. Just about everyone I know always tells me βjust move on broβ and of course, I do try my hardest but itβs difficult. And then even developers are also really mean to us for no reason, games and anime constantly making fun of people with waifus and even games that are safe to selfship in like Wuwa start implementing canon ships, and Aether Gazer gets announced for shutdown which was one of the few games that had every character fully available for you to love.
I sometimes feel like Iβve done something bad to deserve this because it never gets better, I have to lie and say I donβt still fall for characters anymore just so my friends donβt leave me for being too childish.
I still often think about one f/o dream I had where someone said that if I had been in the source material there would have been no doubt that my f/o would've fallen in love with me
And I wish all selfshippers could have such a reassuring dream as well, where they get the prove they need that their f/o would indeed fall in love with them over and over again
