                        ❝   yuri...   ❞    she begins,    and although she knows dearly that she has no place to be telling others what to do,    it’s as if it’s in her code to be an advisor of sorts.    after all,    what breed of president will she be if she doesn’t ?    ❝   maybe you shouldn’t do that.    things will only build up that way.    you know you’re free to talk to me if you want,    right ?    i’m always listening.   ❞

            concern breaches the surface of her typical facade,    tugging the corners of her lips into a small, gently gasping frown.    she eyes natsuki with genuine care and then extends her arms towards her as if she’s a package marked fragile.    a second passes,    then two,    then three,    before she finally pulls the smaller girl in for a firm but tender embrace.    ❝   natsuki...    it’ll be okay,    alright ?   ❞    the president says softly.    it’s not often they’re this close,    not often she finds natsuki being this vulnerable around her    --    she worries for a beat that something bigger is troubling her than usual.    ❝   i’m here for you,    i promise.   ❞

                        ❝   ooh,    i like the sound of that,   ❞    says she,    tittering a finger on the surface of a desk as she mutters the words  ‘ strawberry panic ‘  again    --    a note to self,    of sorts.    ❝   you know,    i think it’s sort of funny how people in real life tend to prefer to keep away from drama,    yet seem so engulfed in it when it’s put into words.    it’s kind of ironic,    really.   ❞

                        ❝   oh    --    wow !    someone actually liked my song enough to do something with it !    i have to admit,    that’s really sweet.    it sounds really nice,    too !   ❞

                        ❝   oh,    we do all sorts of stuff !   ❞    she says,    grin still plastered across her face.    ❝   well    --    maybe not that much yet.    but we do create poems to share with each other.    as for me,    i just arrange and watch over the club meetings,    make sure everything’s in order and all.    i gotta keep an eye on the others to make sure they don’t rip each other’s throats out or anything,    y’know~?   ❞
