Can’t Agree. I think it’s great she‘s getting a dramatic pick me up when she was so tragically down not too long ago:)..

She’s human, not perfect & a child & has every right to feel vulnerable and have support from someone who knows her well and genuinely cares about her and its great for her to know that she’s cared for as well.
She did relatively recover on her own. She survived her surgery and is not looking to end herself or anything. And she has a new friend in Katy and did confide in her. Carole & Tues visited and she did react a bit to them too, even if she’s not ready yet to open up her heart, which is understandable and realistic given all she’s been through too. She needs more time before she can build fresh friendships & start from scratch with new friends.
Not to mention, She’s also in mourning and emotionally bruised after all her recent experiences and feeling down. It’s so unreasonable to expect a 16/ close to 17 year old child to not feel down and alone and despondent when she has every reason to. I think it’s amazing that Tao showed up.
Angela’s character arc shouldn’t be about figuring everything out on her own when she’s already feeling like she’s alone. And if the person she’s in love with/ cares deeply for shows up for her, then there couldn’t be a greater pick me up than that.
Narratively, its a perfect set up; a very sweet, emotional gut in the punch kind of feel-good sort of feeling to have the person she seemed to believe doesn’t care, the person she’s been singing to and singing about not caring, appearing before her like a dark angel, punctuating the end of her Ending (ED i.e) and showing you he does care after all.
It’s so nice to have Angela’s story end in such a, still realsy, but sweet, non-conventional way instead. I loved that end of the ED moment. It packed the right punch and really fits in with the bittersweet, light in the dark tone of the series they’re trying to finish with~
I’m such a fan of narrative,, ed foreshadowing & follow-ups that i’m very satisfied with these two overall just as they are. Now they just have to end it right, And I don’t mean in a conventionally romantic way or anything.
Romanticism is in the writing and the music and in the notion of it, they don’t really have to go explicit with it for these two yet, though they could definitely go for it in an epilogue if he survives! What’s wrong with Tao being emotionally attracted to and simply caring a heck of a lot about precious, lovable, alluring Angela who captured the heart of thousands in the c&t audience and whom he was managing, and knows inside out better than anyone else anyway?
It’s not unrealistic at all & fits in within the context of the narrative and the time they spent together.
But I understand people finding Tao hard to read, and wishing he was characterized differently. I only became more fond of him since ep 19. But I don’t have any doubt he cares tho, and he does show it in his own way; else there’d be no point to his character arc. Being a genius human robot is kind of his shtick. They did bond. There are a lot of unexplored areas to their connection with each other. He just expresses and understands/processes emotions differently it seems and I’m beginning to feel he could easily be identified as autistic.
I find Tao very endearing since, when I found him interesting but still alot creepy initially! And Clearly, I absolutely love the dynamic between Tao and Angela!<3
