he’d  gotten  himself  into  something.  brand  feuds  often  did  that     ,    and  while  rhys  was  not  meant  to  step  all  over     ,     he  could  use  a  little  more  courage  to  stand  up  for  himself.  but  of  course  lorelei  sent  for  him.  there’s  a  mental  note  stored  to  thank  her  later.  maybe  buy  her  a  cup  of  her  favorite  coffee.      

❝     oh     ,     this     ??     ❞     honestly  he’s  humbled  that  someone  had  the  thought  to  compliment  on  him.  the  troops  loved  it     ,     too.      ❝     thanks.     ❞     he’s  offering  a  soft smile     …     despite  the  fact  that  he  was  getting  his  ass  saved     ,     he  appreciates  that  someone  noticed  he  could  actually  grow  one.     ❝     so     ,     uh.  are  you  meant  to  be  my  knight  in  shining  armor     ??     ❞

“Well, if you’re a damsel in distress, than yeah, I’m your knight in not exactly shining--” Being stained with blood and gore do tend to take the shine out of things. “--of armor.” Pause. “Though you’re were more of a CEO in distress, but details, details.” Waving their cybernetic hand, flicking off some the blood that clung to it in the process.
