Everything was fine, everything was normal. He woke up to make himself coffee, and breakfast. It was what he did every Sunday, unless he wasn't alone in his apartment but even then there was the tradition of eating a good sized breakfast but that morning everything would change for the better or worse. Hearing the pecking at his window, Scorpius' eyebrow raised in both surprise and confusion as he caught sight of his families' owl. How odd, he thought as he opened the window for the animal. He was used to receiving letters, and even meeting with his father often but never was Sunday a day that he tended to receive anything. It was a day that most classified as a great time to relax, prepare oneself for the upcoming week but of course that wouldn't be the case. Reaching out for the Daily Prophet that intrigued him first, his eyes widened at the sight of his and Albus' face plastered all over the page, the words taking him even more by surprise. "Huh?" he inquired to himself, looking around as if someone could hear but of course it was just him and Lennon, his pup.

Not brave enough to reach out for the letter he'd also received from his father, he took a few steps back and bumped into the handle of the sizzling frying pan causing it to shoot up and hit him in the head. "Fuck," he cursed out, reaching up to rub at the bruise that he was sure had already begun to form. That was the downside to being a Malfoy, the fair skin that easily colored. Sighing, he quickly turned around to turn off the stove and started out the kitchen, no longer having an appetite for anything not even coffee.
