Language Red Flags:

• “RARE!!!” (for common 1998 models like Tiger Stripes, Champagne, or Bumblebee)

• “VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE” - slapped on any crusty unit regardless of condition

• “Still works!” - often means it just turns on but doesn’t speak or move

• “May need some TLC” - translation: it’s broken and they won’t admit it

• “Check photos, sold as-is” - vague way to hide damage or avoid accountability

• “ Limited Edition” - with no proof it isn’t a basic Furby

• “HTF” or “Hard to Find” on common Furbies like Leopard or Bumblebee

• “Guaranteed” without actually specifying what is guaranteed

• “Legal” - means that it probably is not ethical

Price Patterns:

• Asking $40+ for broken or mute units

• Charging $20+ shipping for a 1-pound toy

• Claiming that their expenses include $60+ worth of taxes when their prices are questioned
