Yaz and Sammy:

They weren't able to go out last year because they had a new baby (they absolutely could have asked a grandma to babysit. they simply did not want to leave their daughter), so they're going to one of their neighbors parties. Max amount of drinks 2. They'll stay for the countdown and then head out immediately to get back home. They'll probably have some wine with Yaz' mom after they get all cozy in their pajamas too. I think that after Grandma goes to bed, Yaz and Sammy (a little tipsy) slow dance in the kitchen giggling and kissing until Yaz' eyes start to droop and Sammy carries her to bed.

Ben and Kenji and Gia:

They went out for New Years the prior year, and so they wanted to spend the holiday with Nona. They'll probably make some fancy pasta dish and pair it with wine before cuddling up on the sofa and watching one of Nona's favorite movies.

Darius and Brooklynn:

In season 2, Darius is prepared to give up everything for the others. He'll do whatever it takes to get them off the island. And Brooklynn scolds him for being a self sacrificial dummy, or whatever her words were.

But in season 3, the roles are reversed. Brooklynn sacrifices herself, and Darius respects her wishes because he trusts her so much.

And in Chaos Theory, Brooklynn sacrifices everything she has to keep the camp fam (including Darius) safe. Though he's the only one she trusts with telling about the dinosaur drop, it's clear she realised how much she was in over her head. and gave up her entire life to keep everyone she loves safe. Even at the expense of giving up her entire life.

And in return, Darius sacrifices his moral compass in order to avenge Brooklynn after he thought the allosaurus killed her.

But even then, Brooklynn doesn't want Darius to sacrifice any more of his morals. She risks everything in the season 2 finale to keep the camp fam away from what she's doing. She pushes him and the rest of the camp fam away from her and Soyona Santos in the season 3 finale.

They weren't seventeen and drunk, a bag of chips stashed between them in the sheets. But it was different than the time in his cabin as well. Darius wasn't nervous, he wasn't being tormented by his depraved thoughts, having to excuse himself after they'd gotten intimately tangled up in a pillow fight.

"Hey Darius, you should bring your girl on Friday. She's pretty fun."

"My girl? I don't have a girl."

"Dude. The purple haired chick? The girl you literally bring everywhere?"
