So this is what independence and healing looks like. Four years ago, I dreamt to live and study in the city for college. Unfortunately, due to 'expected' circumstances, I had to give up on it. It broke my heart and my dreams. Because for the first time, I found something- a dream and a plan, but I have to stray away from it. Four years later, I was given a chance to render my internship in the city. One night, I was lying on a grassy field in the middle of high rise buildings and busy lives, under the moonlight and city lights, thinking how calming it is when suddenly a familiar song I used to listen to during difficult times started playing. It was perfect. Indeed, all will be alright in time.

I'll miss walking around the city at night to buy dinner or late night snacks in the convenience store. I'll miss the sight buildings the moment I step outside the compound. I'll miss crossing through the traffic lights. I'll miss going to the grocery store wearing my 'pantulog'. And most importantly, I will miss the people I'm with on this adventure.
