Second Strongest of the Lost

    Golden brows rose at the look on his face. “If I agree to this, and I’m not a fan - “ Which come on, this was a PRINCE trying to take her out on a DATE. Punzie didn’t date. “You’re gonna leave me alone, no trying to get me to go out with you again…Fine.” 

    Brows raised as he flashed her a grin. In all honesty, she wasn’t 100% sure if she believed that whole not too many dates thing. Surely, he would have had these princesses wrapped around his finger. “So, if I don’t agree, you’ll keep asking me. But if I go, and hate it, you’ll leave me alone? That sounds rigged.” 

    "Rigged? That’s not how we do things here in Auradon. We’re sweet princesses and charming princes. Ignoring Chad, of course.” He grinned happily at her. Maybe it might’ve been a little rigged in his favor. It wasn’t his fault she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. “C’mon, one date.” Time for the smolder.

Uma’s eyes narrowed dangerously. She didn’t appreciate him trying to flirt with her when she’d caught him in the act of doing something he probably wasn’t supposed to. But then, what was she supposed to expect from a son of Gaston? Though, Gil wasn’t like that. not that she knew of, anyway.

“Did I stutter?” She asked angrily, jabbing her sword fiercely in his direction. “Get. down. from. there. now. Don’t make me get my mother. I know she wouldn’t be happy to know you’re trespassing here after hours.”

    Just a few more tugs and he hoped the knot would come undone. “What? It’s after hours? I thought you guys were open all night. I swear I read that... somewhere. Or was that the Tremaine place? Maybe it was the Tremaine place.” They both knew Curl Up & Dye didn’t open until midnight. One more good yank and the knot came undone. A grin came across his face. He looked at her, then at the sword.

Uma froze hearing the creak. Her hand went to the hilt of her sword, and she pulled it from it’s scabbard as she hurried back out. Since it was perpetually dark on the Isle, Uma’s eyes were pretty much always adjusted. She recognized the figure up there. Gus, one of Gaston’s many sons. Also one of the least tolerable, to her anyway. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” She asked, her tone cold as she held the sword in his direction.

“Get down from there. Now.”

    He looked down at Uma from where he stood, one hand on the flag and the other on the rope tying it up. There were two ways he could go with this, flirty or piss her off. She had a sword... Flirty was probably the way go, then. “Hey, Uma. Just admiring the view from here. It’s a pretty nice setup you have.” He moved around so maybe she wouldn’t see what he was doing, giving a few yanks to the flag’s rope to try and undo it.

     “No offence, but I am not big on the whole dating thing.” Hell, she really hadn’t dated all that much in the first place. 

Uma was on the night shift, again. She had lost count of how often she had been on the night shift lately. While working in the restaurant day in and day out was usually a pain, the night shift was the worst. Because not many people came around, so it meant that she basically had nothing to do. But she couldn’t just leave, either, because if her mother found out, that would not go over well.

She came to the doors and glanced out, just to give herself some variety, relishing the cool air on her face. But she didn’t stay there long before turning and going back into the restaurant.

    That was close. Almost too close, but it seemed he hadn’t been caught. He couldn’t get caught or else Mal and Jay would give him hell for weeks after this. Gus waited a couple more minutes before sneaking up to get the flag. CREAK A board practically bellowed underfoot just as he made it to the cloth. Suddenly his time to get this flag and get out was cut into just a few moments. "Merde,” he said as he attempted to get the knot out of the rope to free the fabric.

   Boredom would be the absolute death of him. Between dares brought on to prevent it or doing stupid things all on his own, like now, it could get fairly dangerous fairly quickly. Gus had one goal, steal a flag from outside Ursula’s Fish and Chips. This one was fairly simple, if he could get away without getting caught. It was the midle of the night, so it was likely, but there was always a chance of a fight on the Isle.
