Basically the main setting for the AU is just the kids hanging out with Sean in a house that is inside of a space in Nilspace he made so its separate from the hell around them by a very thin barrier haha. Its mostly inspired by seperate fic series made by tumblr users Quzen and Atlas-bunny at least for the main location. Sean is more so the sole caretaker for the kids but other characters pop in the space every now and then randomly like Jake and Aubrey. Not gonna lie Sean was kinda content with just wandering Nilspace but once he noticed how many kids were actually getting stuck in this space he decided to make the house with the thin barrier around it just to keep them safe. He still cares for the kids and does his best but sometimes when he's really going through it (either because of Medulla or that fucking red demon) he does resort to drinking which is still a bad habit for him even after being digitalised. He doesn't drink in front of the kids but its his not so great stress reliever, doesn't change the fact he cares but he does fall into it every now and then even with the help of whoever is in the space at the time that's not the kids.

The house pretty peaceful most of the time, the kids living in it only slightly don't like eachother due to their own problems. Brandon has no haters in the house he's pretty chill with everyone and Deivy comes later into the story so the conflict is mainly revolving around Skeet, Jacob and Amanda as they all have conflicting personalities and due to each of their own daddy issues they're not the best to each other at times (sometimes getting into physical fights with one another) haha but also they're disturbed teenagers so it was bound to happen no matter how good of a "replacement" Sean is to them. Jacob still misses glass father despite how much he denies it and it does conflict with how he feels with Sean at times in terms of seeing him as a parent, Skeet and Amanda also have conflicting feelings on Sean as their adoptive parent but choose not to voice them as they're kinda stuck there (mostly) and also they don't want to cause Brandon any stress (plus for them its just easier to not say anything than to explain to a kid their own individual issues). Brandon has nothing against Sean but also he was pretty young when he died and his own dad/religion was all he knew outside of his friends so its easier for him to accept Sean than it is for these three. The three teens are thankful for what Sean has done for them but they just have to ease into the situation which will take a lot of time. I've been rewriting the AU a lot so I dont actually have much for Deivy but he's more like an observer in the house (when he does get there) since he's not deeply intertwined with anyone there. He was looking for Geometry when he found himself inside the barrier so he's just sticking around just cause

Jacob’s personality kinda differs from the source material just a little bit, Jacob is still passive a lot of the time and doesn't tend to purposely draw trouble to himself but that uncooperative nature in him was amplified so he would sometimes do things behind Sean's back (and lie about it if Sean asks) either cause he thinks its better the robloxian doesn't know or because he thinks Sean shouldn't get involved with it like dealing with the Stone Men who sometimes get through the barrier when they sense Jacob’s presence. Dealing with a stone man was the only time the three teens agreed to do something without argument haha. He does have moments of aggression when he's pushed into a corner during confrontation, mostly due to the corruption he's dealing from what was left of Glass Father's influence as the demon was part way through making Jacob his puppet before Sean intervened (this part of his memory is still hazy). He's not malicious with his actions he just doesn't know any better sometimes and with how distant his mother was during his last few months + Glass Father isolating him he doesn't exactly know when to trust a parental figure with information

For the actual story i am exploring how the teens eventually make it out of the barrier to the wider Nilspace which keeps warping around them due to wider forces. Psychological shenanigans as many of the antagonists are figures from the kid's irl past and they do end up in places like the games the other arg characters have made like Kate's place, Audrey's house or places made by Dragon's friends but that's for the story im actually writing for fun lmaooo for the AU itself they mostly just chill in the house and learn how to interact with each other despite their differences and Sean learns what it means to look after vulnerable children with all kinds of personalities all under one roof. Slice of life stuff mostly pretty wholesome, dragon and other arg characters do also get introduced to the house later but for (my) convenience i just made it that Skeet, Jacob, Amanda and Brandon are the first ones there haha

For like simple relationships in my head for the main ones (which is funny cause at this point I haven't shown any of my skeet drawings in this AU yet but shhh) its like

Sean is fine with Brandon, he's somewhat getting along with Skeet despite the trouble, fine with Amanda and is also fine with Jacob, parental figure to all of course but he's more attentive to Brandon due to him being younger

Amanda is fine with Jacob on occasion, fine with Brandon, fine with Sean despite her confliction and regularly fights with Skeet at first before the two relaxed

Skeet's alright with Brandon surprisingly, doesn't like Amanda at first, really does not like Jacob at the start and easily punks him (mostly cause Jacob reminds Skeet of Matt and he just needs an outlet for his pent up emotions) and is... feeling a lot of confliction towards Sean but will eventually get used to his presence

Jacob does care for Brandon, he's warming up to Sean with brief moments of push back on his side, he's okay with Amanda and very intimidated by Skeet but again this will change once they all relax
