Happy Pride Month! In an earlier Pride Month, I also posted a picture of the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl the Feathered Serpent and mentioned that I did not know enough about how Aztec culture treated people who identify as LGBTQA+, and the only source I could reference came from the perspective of a Spanish Conquistador who already had a very biased view and his opinion should be taken with a huge lump of salt. He claimed that the Aztecs were against Homosexuality. He was WRONG! Wonderful news everyone, the Aztecs were very based when it came to sexuality and gender identity. They had a God of Gay Love, They had a God of Lesbian Love, They had Gods that were Trans, They had Gods that were Gender Fluid, They had Gods that were Two Genders at the same time And this didn't just extend to their morality but was socially practiced too and was just considered a normal aspect of the human experience. Their only caveat was if you were a noble you were expected to have a baby in order to continue your family lineage, otherwise you can love whoever you want and identify however you want. Once again, aside from the practice of ritual human sacrifice, the Aztecs were pretty awesome. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
I recently heard about a TTRPG called "Masks" a Teenage Super Hero RPG System inspired by things like Spiderman, X-Men, MHA, Young Justice, Teen Titans, etc...but instead of the game informing what kind of powers you can have, the rules basically inform what kind of character you are and what your narrative arc is about, such as: Living up to the legacy of another hero, Being a sidekick trying to create a name for yourself Having immense power that you are learning to control etc... I got the idea if I ever started a game with this system I would want to play a Teen Incarnation of the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl. In Aztec Mythology, Quetzalcoatl has multiple birth stories because he is a Very Old God who predates the Aztecs by a large margin with examples of the feathered Serpent God being depicted as far back as the Olmecs, the oldest Mesoamerican civilization that we known of, roughly 2,500 to 3,000 years old. They could be even older sharing a theoretically mythological origin with Chinese Dragons who's oldest depictions go as far back as the Late Stone age. From the Olmecs, a version of the Feathered Serpent God became incredibly popular and spread around the region becoming a prominent figure in almost every Mesoamerican culture with variations and different origins between them. To make sense of all of these origins, the Aztecs decided that all of these stories are true at different times and Quetzalcoatl has the power to reincarnate. The gods in Aztec mythology are not completely invincible but really hard to bring down even if you dismember them, so sometimes Quetzalcoatl will choose to die and then resurrect usually with a different mother each time. Their first parent according to the Aztecs was Ometeotl the Primordial Supreme Deity of Opposites and Duality making Quetzalcoatl also one of the Oldest and Most powerful gods in the Aztec Pantheon as a primordial creator god who helped build the world as we know it. It was also probably this incarnation of Quetzalcoatl that became the Second God King of the Sun. In no particular order after his origin: He was born to Chimalma the Shield Goddess and Mixcoatl the Cloud Serpent and God of the Hunt after Swallowing a Precious Gem that contained Quetzalcoatl's spirit. In another incarnation the Earth Goddess Coatlicue, was impregnated by a ball of feathers and gave birth to Quetzalcoatl and his twin Xolotl who would become the God who guides the dead through the underworld In a particular Mayan story, Quetzalcoatl was reborn to a mortal family and the older sister recognized him as the Feathered Serpent God. Quetzalcoalt gets around. Somewhere in the family tree he's just going to pop up again. Me and my friends also joked around with the idea of Quetzalcoatl popping up in other Pantheons like...he somehow shows up in Greece and is reborn from Hera which pisses off Zeus even though he cheats on his wife constantly.
I imagine in a Masks game Quetz would be a Legacy Hero...He sorta has the vibes of Aang from Avatar and Thor from Marvel being a Cultural Hero God who can take the hits that some of his companions can't and has to live up to the legacy of his past incarnations to be the protector of humanity, but he also tends to have to deal with heavier hitters and enemies both mortal and supernatural who have long standing grudges against him for things he did in his past lives like the time: He played the God of the Dead Mictlantecuhtli for a fool by beating his impossible task. He made enemies with the Warrior Goddess Itzpapalotl and her army of Star Demons the Tzitzimitl by rescuing the Goddess Mayahuel and then blowing away the Tzitzmitl with a massive cyclone that moved the stars. He stole Music and Cocoa Beans from the palace of the greedy Sun God Tonatiuh and gave them to humanity. And of course he constantly has to deal with his divine arch nemesis and brother Tezcatlipoca who's made it his life's work to ruin everything for everyone but especially Quetzalcoatl. His Hero Outfit is based on his historical look mixed with modern Lucha Libre as a symbol that he's a hero of and for the people. He carries his stone club that he used to knock Tezcatlipoca out of the sky and a necklace with his Wind Jewel, a spiral cross section of a conch shell symbolizing the breath of life. He probably also has other artifacts from past incarnations scattered and hidden in different locations for him to find later like his Shield Mother's Invincible Shield. Powers: Divine Physiology: He is considered Holy and is very hard to take down Resurrection: If you kill him, he will just come back eventually Sky Control: Has Power over Wind, Weather, and Sunlight Westward Wind: He is Faster traveling West Breath of Life: Is able to Imbue things with Life and Heal People Shapeshifting: Mostly into a Giant Feathered Serpent Creation: He has Supernatural Craftsman abilities, but he needs materials

Speaking of ArtFight references.
My sketchbook of the past two years is finally running out, and upon browsing through it I saw the drawing on the right here that I had left unfinished, like, a year ago. That didn't do, so I slapped the final color bits on before taking this photo in a hurry before I had to catch the bus to my parents' place.
Puro, also known as the (s)tabby cat, my DnD character from our previous campaign. The left one is the first colour drawing I did of them back when we were just starting the campaign (level 1), and the right one was made to commemorate the ending of the campaign at level 14. My scrappy little fighter grew into a proper battle master and a captain of her own ship!
I'm so proud!
Happy Pride 2026!

Beyond The Veil of Darkness
Making Spyro's new look was fun to do, but now I wanted try my hands at the main villain for the new game. This was really fun to do and I love how it all turned out. Was also fun to do some more darker shading and brighter lighting fro this as well.
Looking forward to seeing who the main villain really is when the next trailer drops if it does.
Spyro's good old friends together again to fight against bad guys, and saving the world together. And it looks like idea for 4-player coop mode.
Would you like to see Ember and Flame in new Spyro game again?
I would like to see them, if they will have more personality and backstory than just "generic boy" and "dragon Amy Rose". And what we really need, is more dragons who in the same age as Spyro. Usually we meet only adults or small dragonets.
I'm so excited for the new game!!

Soaring To Realms Beyond
After eight years since his last game, ten years since his last appearance in Skylanders, he's finally back. I did not expect the last game showcase to feature a new game for him, I am happy I was wrong. So I had to make something for occasion, and man it feels good that hes back.
Honestly an entire new standalone game with free flight mechanics different than before, it feels momentous that hes back. We've all been waiting for him to make his return at some point.
Looking forward to what this game brings next year, until then, welcome back old friend.
I had to contribute somehow to this lovely crackship. I ponify... again.
