I asked my mom, "What's your favorite flower?"
I thought she'd say roses because that's what my father gave to her on every occasion.
After a while, she answered, "Daisies."
"Why?"
"There were a lot of daisies where I used to play with my cousins in the province." Her eyes beamed. I can tell it took her again to a place of happy memories. A moment she longs to go back.

Practicing watercolor again for a project soon. This is a mix of winsor & newton and smincke on canson cold pressed paper 200gsm. I wasn't able to film a reel for this because I was fully immersed in the process. 😍 I used green for the underpainting, obviously the oranges are a bit saturated that is because I painted this on a low-light set-up (orange lamp as the only source of light, I was living for the ~ vibe~ ) but really happy with how this turned out! ☺️
The path to being confident is to make yourself vulnerable. While doing things that you are uncomfortable with, doubts usually start to creep in. You can ask yourself questions over and over again, or you can just simply take the first step.

Using gouache is entirely different from watercolor. There was a bit of a struggle here and there, layer after layer, but an enjoyable teaching moment for sure. ✨
