VINTAGE 1961 Two Piece Lace, Embroidered and Cut Out Skirt Set I picked up this set at an estate sale, I never would have guessed it was 60 years old! The woman there told me she saved all summer to buy the outfit from the dress shop to wear on her (High School) Senior trip in 1961! It is a lightweight woven rayon and cotton blend. Very crisp looking. It has rows of pin tucks, applique lace and embroidery. The top has cap sleeves, and a keyhole/button closure in back. The skirt has side pockets, and a wide ruffled hemline. Its in amazing condition except the skirt's elastic is shot. It can easily be fixed by stringing through a drawstring or sewing stretched elastic to the inside waistband. I will leave it up to the buyer. It is a size medium, a 1961 medium which looks more like a small today so the approx measurements are; Top Bust 20” across Length 22” Skirt Waistband up to 16” across or 32” Length 31” Great vintage condition !
