My desk :-)
TOS Desktop viewer I built, with backlit artwork, Cast desktop intercom & rocker switches, and TOS PADD with stylus I bought from a member of TPZ.
TOS Tricorder prop. This is a "convention kit" I bought from a fellow on ebay about 15 years back, he never built it and a few of the pieces were missing. I tackled it and loved the process! It is vacuum formed, has a few custom touches I put in, like the thicker aluminum vertical side panels, leather strap, backlit screen, sound effects, LEDs in the 3 indicator lights, Season 2 door handles, magnets to hold both middle & lower doors closed, etc. It was a fun build :-)
TOS Tricorder prop [convention kit] next to RED digital cinema battery charger. Please note the swivel 'foot' that steadies the charger when 2 brick batteries are attached. Photos of the bottom show the "foot" both in its ON position and STORAGE position. It uses a spring/pull system to unlock it from its storage position to the local position, this is noted in the photo with my hand where I am holding the "foot" half way through the process.
Strange Lizard on wall in McCoy's TOS sickbay...what is it?

Mitchell BNCR & Moviecam Compact
"THE KILLERS" film short
TOS Spock’s Library Computer prop. I bought this completed, it has a great internal light sequence as well as a sound board. Since it was designed to sit on a steep inclined control panel, and my office desk is flat, I rigged a pair of angled urethane foam blocks to hold it secure at the appropriate angle. I built the data tape holder. The white Motorola speaker is a vintage police car item I believe was utilized for the speaker section on the original prop?
Behind the scenes from the film short: THE KILLERS, shot on 35mm, with my vintage Mitchell BNCR, utilizing all period light sources: tungsten hard lights! Amazing crew! Alex Chekov directed. I think we matched the Film Noir look pretty well :-)
TOS desktop viewer prop, I built this from 2 different "kits", the top section from prop maker Ralph Miller ( that section was virtually finished, I added the electronics/lights and swivel), the base was very rough, a "started" project by someone else which I bought off eBay.

TOS wall intercom prop. A few reference frame grabs of original prop, plus photos of my work-in-progress of the kit I bought from Joe Melvin.
Mitchell BNCR #198, Paramount Pictures engraved on side. Reported to have photographed TV series: SGT BILKO, NAKED CITY, I SPY, MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE, (possibly worked as additional camera on STAR TREK!), below the Mitchell is my beautiful Moviecam Compact!
