The implications of the Knight Construct kind of fascinates me, like, the master sword is less separate from the hero's spirit/ Link than previously thought, like a piece of the master sword manifests as Link, with his hair and his combat techniques adjusted to fit a more adaptable hardware. The master sword already has a humanoid form, but the construct does not take after Fi in any way, being completely silent except for her signature 'jingle', implying that she speaks to Zelda exclusively.

The master sword isn't just a weapon, it isn't just a legendary magical weapon with one true wielder, it's literally part of the hero's spirit. It contains a part of his ever-reincarnating soul. When given the proper vessel, it manifests to look like him, the current him.

The construct is the fragment of the hero's spirit constantly drawn to eliminating evil, but with enough autonomy to have a companion, to make friends, to go along with someone else's plans, to go off and do its own thing.

But it's not Link. The first thing Link would do when being blasted to the past would be to Find Zelda. That is his entire goal in totk. He desperately chases her from place to place, from rumor to rumor. The Knight Construct doesn't have much of a particular interest in Zelda, it's noticeably vacant with everyone.

It's not Link, it's some fragment of the hero's spirit that doesn't change, no matter what shade between blonde and brown his hair is. It's the complete lack of hesitation or refusal of the call in the hero's journey, it has a clear directive. Seal the darkness.
