While most laws are out there to screw you, it turns out, some are out there to actually serve you! My friend got into a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago and I ran into him the other day. He was walking around fine, but he said that he received a multi million dollar settlement from the guy who hit him’s insurance company to not go to trial. That, apparently, there was all sorts of damages done to him that he didn’t want to talk about, and that he is really lucky to be alive. I hope nothing bad happens to me, but it kind of makes me want to start riding a motorcycle! As long as somebody else hits me and the accident is not my fault, I could probably make a bunch of money that way too. The only problem is, if you’re not particularly careful, you could die. What is wrongful death? Wrongful death is when someone dies due to the carelessness or negligence of someone else. So, if I left my shotgun out in the middle of a playground and a child got shot, that would be considered negligence. Whether or not the children’s parent’s will receive money in a wrongful death suit depends upon whether or not I was an employee, and whether the employees that did work there knew, or should have known that there was a danger present. You see, if I was an employee there, the family would be able to argue that the day car facility at the playground should have known that I was dangerous. If I am one of the parents, they would have no reason to believe or want me to stay away from the facility. I have to pick up my child don’t I? My friend got a DUI when I was in the passenger seat, and I cannot begin to tell you the ridiculousness he has had to go through from this entire situation. IN our particular situation, we weren’t drunk. We had some wine and we had enjoyed ourselves thoroughly at the night’s previous affair, but we were pulled over when we were very close to our destination. The officer arrested my friend and I had to get a ride. Just recently, he went to his DUI DMV hearing at the Cost Mesa DMV’s office. It seemed pretty scary. He brought his attorney along and it seemed to go a really long ways. He can even drive, despite the fact that he has an upcoming DUI court hearing. He used the car for his job I guess. My question is, why did he even get arrested in the first place? We weren’t harming anyone? We hadn’t run into anything? I realized today how much of a “touchy subject” domestic violence is. Personally, I’ve been in an abusive relationship where the female beats up on me. It took me several years for me to break free from the cycle of abuse, and while I was in it, it was hard not to blame myself. However, if I try to share my experience online, I am bombarded by negativity and disbelief! As if a guy getting beaten up by a woman and being the victim of an abusive relationship is the most impossible thing to take to heart. I mean, come on! Are women really so full of themselves that they can’t image beating up on a guy, or that another woman could actually attempt such a thing. I would say more, but I don’t want to be called out as some sexist a-hole. These types of things are why attributing domestic violence to the appropriate party has gotten so bad in recent years. My bank overcharged me again! I am so pissed off, I can’t even begin to tell you how much this drives me crazy? Does this happen to any of you? Cause this is like a regular deal with me, but I swear, I have plenty of money in the bank and there is no reason why there should be a fee. OK, so you’re probably going to think of me as a bit of a sicko, but I started reading about pedestrian accident law today and I got a little bit excited. Law is so interesting to me! Class actions are confusing. For instance, I was recently fired from my job for no legitimate reason. I went online and found out that having a disability makes me a “protected class”. So I contact an attorney to find out what I can do to sue my employer and get some money to hold me over till I get a new job. The lawyer tells me that it would be best if I joined a class action with other people that worked at my job. Well, I don’t want to join a class action! Basically, it means I would have to have my case lumped in with everyone else at the company I was working for. Why can’t people just pursue compensation on their own? Completely pointless. Discrimination in the workplace is a big deal. I’ve been discriminated against my entire life. I come from a family of immigrants that came here a few generations ago. I’ve always felt that my physical appearance leads some people to stereotype me and treat me differently. While some people are protected by workplace discrimination laws, others are not. DUI arrests are occurring on a daily basis, regardless of what part of the United States you are in. People constantly get drunk and then drive their cars. Some people do it on purpose, while others are making stupid decision while they are impaired, one of the main side effects of drinking might I add. I, personally, have never been arrested for drunk driving before, but when I was a teenager I made the foolish mistake of driving drunk with my friends.
