||. You're welcome, anon. The thing is that I really, really don't believe anyone involved was actually trying to be malicious towards anyone else. Probably not even in the case that you made, though of course, I can't really speak on that without knowing any details...

But what I can say, all around, with this or ANY case with abolute certainty, is this:

Ultimately, people like having some kind of input or say when something goes wrong, or they find themselves in some kind of trouble, or conflict with someone else. Usually too? Whether it's in a detective show (barring that we all know crime shows aren't actually factually accurate by most means), or in a real case, or even just day to day conflicts and conversations, people KNOW when they're being investigated or if they've broken a rule.

And to that end, it's so, SO important that people who are going around throwing labels around or... assuming the worst out of people, in my friend's case, really need to have real proof and evidence to back that up, even if they don't agree; otherwise it's super damaging.

And the last thing I'd want to see is someone else in the future having a miscommunication, or making a mistake where, instead of having a conversation about it first, or some kind of suspension/investigation period next (if it even needs to go there), they just get banned totally out of the blue. not only banned, but banned because someone else actually did assume that they're like, a really morally-repulsive person. You've just got to MAKE SURE with multiple pieces of proof and testimony that that's really the case before throwing that kind of thing around, I think.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform all of those reading, who have been my beloved roleplay partners, cast-mates, and dashboard mutuals for the past almost-year, that I at no point can stay within Isola Radiale's current state of malpractice in their leadership circle.

I understand that this decision may seem abrupt, and my statement likely an incredibly harsh and derogatory one to make; however, the specific details of why I have come to this unfortunate conclusion are important for ALL of us to be made aware of, and have a very deep, and open discussion about as a community.

The long and short of it is: a dear friend, and partner of mine was wrongly accused of being something that she is not. She was then banned for this without any prior notice, nor any history of malcontent with anyone else inside of the group, or with the moderators themselves. The verdict was deemed something that "is not open for debate or discussion" by multiple (x) cited (x) screenshot quotes.

This is something that I cannot abide by, as it goes against a series of moral conducts that I hold dear. Not only because the accused is my friend, but because she is a completely innocent person; a member of this same community that you and I are a part of, and she no longer has that space AT ALL because of something she did not do.

Even before going into the appeal, I felt uncomfortable with their verdict. When asking questions to get the moderator's point of view on the subject, I was deflected back to my friend, AND made even more unsafe and uncomfortable by the admittance of the moderator's malpractice procedures with their judicial system. (Or rather: complete lack thereof.)

When reading over the asks both from the moderators and the accused, as well as listening to accounts on the accused's behalf, and taking the time to try and piece together an understanding of the moderator's position, I was only further struck by how hastily, and grossly incorrectly this case was handled. That this case was continuously justified on the moderator's behalf of being "for the safety and comfort" of the isola radiale community only made it even more disquieting.

It's after some great stress, anxiety, and consideration that I have come to an unfortunate, but necessary decision. As of the time of this posting, I will be completely removing myself from Isola Radiale, as the moderators of this group have wrongly accused, defamed, and banned a member of this community without ANY judicial system, communication, or appeal.

The very long and short of the details of this case can be found (HERE) and ABOVE.. It is a 24 page document consisting of the heart of the issue of this case: being that, a member of this community was wrongly, and bigotedly ASSUMED to be a pedophile, and/or in favor of "morally-repulsive" content. This is over a complete and gross misinterpretation of terms on the moderator's end, as well as their complete and decided UNWILLINGNESS to engage in "discussion or debate" on the topic of an innocent community member's ban. Not with the accused, nor with anyone who was willing to attempt to submit and conduct a dialogue of appeal on the accused's behalf.

This document contains annotated, but DIRECT screenshots of the moderator's behavior, as well as repeated screenshot testimony of the accused. Besides myself, there are MULTIPLE people who have been in direct contact with the accused who can vouch in favor of her innocence, and that they have had absolutely no complaints or grievances with her, and much less to the horrible scale that the moderators have deemed their justification of this decision around.

I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO READ THROUGH THIS DOCUMENT IN FULL, and create your own opinions of the case. I would also encourage you to reach out to the accused, or even myself if you would like to read through the complete and unedited dialgoue of both the accused's sentence, as well as my attempt to speak on her behalf.

However, if you do not currently have the time, then there is this that you MUST know, for your own safety, and for the safety of your friends and partners within this community:

As of the time of this posting, the isola radiale group rules and policies pages DOES NOT have ANY mention of their judicial process, both concerning minor and major infractions.

There is absolutely NO indication on any of the pages of what a minor infraction, nor a major infraction even would be.

The moderators at NO POINT disclosed what they consider "evidence" of a major or minor infraction to be, either. Does that mean one piece of evidence? Two? Does it need to be in conjunction with multiple witness testimonies? How many witnesses do they need to levy any accusation? Furthermore, in an investigation of a MAJOR infraction with EXTREME CONSEQUENCES AND IMPLICATIONS, do they even reach out to individuals in order to confirm or deny the suspected behavior? (The answer is: no, and otherwise, we don't know.)

The moderators have CONFIRMED that they, at no point, reach out to ANY OF THEIR MEMBERS about complaints, investigation periods, and they DO NOT have a period of suspension in order to conduct the would-be investigations. This is their NORMAL PROCEDURE for each and every one of us.

Their exact reasoning for doing so, is that, should a member be complained about, or accused of something dubious, they will not open dialogue with that person out of the rationale that, should this person be guilty, they will proceed to try and escape. This goes COMPLETELY against due process, and ACTUAL investigation processes - even the fictional kind. TL;DR: you are guilty until proven innocent, and at no point will you be notified of a complaint or accusation until after THEY have conducted an investigation WITHOUT YOUR NOTIFICATION OR AT MOST, A SUSPENSION PERIOD.

They have REPEATEDLY and SWIFTLY shut down discussion of the case, not only with the accused who was informed of her ban only AFTER the judgement was passed, but with myself when I attempted to submit an appeal with substantiated dialogue and evidence (that can be found in the document.)

When attempting to understand the moderator's point of view on the subject, the moderators insisted that I go to the accused to get further details on the matter. Not only this, but when attempting to open a dialogue of appeal, the moderators conducted their discussion and review WITHOUT MYSELF PRESENT.

This process took FOUR HOURS OF SILENCE before getting a word back from them, in that they were not allowing debate or discussion on the topic. That we never had.

Lastly: their verdict on this case was to boldly assume the worst of their own community member, label, other and conduct themselves in a bigoted manner even AFTER ADMITTING that two completely different understandings WERE being used. They did this, in turn, under the justification that it was "for the safety and comfort of our community", without ever once considering the accused to BE a part of that same community, who should be given the same amount of grace by proxy.

All of this to say that as much as i adore the threads i have had here, the friends i've made, and what the future would've held for our muses, I cannot, in good conscience, stay in a group where the administration conducts their judicial system in such a secretive, impulsive and dangerous manner. Certainly not one where an innocent individual was wrongly accused, defamed of her character, and unable to open dialogue nor submit an appeal in her favor.

It's disingenuous, and an unsafe environment for the community members that the moderators say that they want to uphold.

Whether or not you agree or disagree with the specifics of the case itself, the fact of the matter is that THESE are the practices of the moderation team that has been brought to light with express clarity.

These are things that have happened in the past, and why those past cases HAD to be brought public, as now this one has as well.

This is something that can effect me, you, or ANY ONE OF US come an unfortunate circumstance were something is completely taken out of context, with no regard to our intent. NONE OF US ARE SAFE FROM THIS LACK OF CLARITY AND PROCEDURE. We can ALL be effected by this lack of due process.

My decision is a drastic one, but it's the one that was most safe decision that I could make for myself. I encourage, and IMPLORE you, isola radiale community, to take into consideration the true weight of what has transpired these past few months.

It is not an outcome that I would want ANY ONE OF US to have to go through, and my only hope and dearest wish would be that, in making these specific practices of malconduct more clear, that you, and the moderators, can work together to create a new system.

— leaving the jedi order . ahsoka has completely forgotten her decision to leave the jedi order. as far as she is concerned , she is still anakin skywalker's padawan. although , she IS close to her knighting ceremony !

There wasn’t much of a point in trying to brush the pollen off; there was simply too much of it, and it didn’t take long to realize that he was fighting a losing battle. Giving up with a huff, Anakin folded his arms across his chest, looking mildly put out. ❝ I wasn’t going to eat them, ❞ he said flatly, with a good-natured roll of his eyes. Grab them with his hands, yes, but eat them? No. ❝ What’s the deal with these flowers anyway? ❞ he wondered, wrinkling his nose a little, irritated by the pollen still floating in the air. ❝ They’re everywhere. ❞

Her comment earned her a smirk in response. ❝ What, like that’s so bad? ❞ he said – but no sooner had he spoken than he seemed to abruptly become uncharacteristically uncertain. Change was a strange thing. It was so easy to see change in other people, from the outside. But change of the self was often harder to detect – it happened so slowly, so naturally, that often it could go unnoticed until someone else pointed it out… or perhaps the opposite, in this case. Ahsoka had certainly changed. Change wasn’t something he’d thought about that much until someone he knew was here with him… because then it became a little more apparent. Anakin thought about the person who he was before a year of captivity, about the person who didn’t live with a second set of vague memories of a false life, and envied him.

❝ …You really think that? ❞ It was startlingly honest, and he had no idea why he’d blurted that out. Almost immediately he followed up with, ❝ Never mind. Forget it. ❞ Back to business. ❝ Maybe other people know about the flowers. We can ask around. ❞

         BROW  TWITCHED  ,  FOR  THOUGH  AHSOKA  was remiss to say anything about it , she wasn’t blind to the hint of melancholy in her former master’s voice. it wasn’t something that happened OFTEN. actually — it barely ever happened at all. but just as it came , it was gone. replaced by his TOUGH-GUY BRAVADO. not that she was really one to judge.  ❝ that sounds like a good idea to me. ❞ she nodded , and pivoted on her heel towards the city.

            it would be a bit of a walk back , but in the very least there certainly was no shortage of flowers to make examples of once they returned there. she dusted pollen off of her clothes as she walked. playful jabs and spit-fired words sparking off her tongue as they ricocheted theories about the plants and their purpose as they went. 

            eventually , the conversation dwindled. there was only so many hair-brained ideas you could throw at a wall when your only leads were mildly-irritating and altogether-persistent purple plants and barely anything else to show for it. but while the silence stretched , ahsoka didn’t find it totally uncomfortable. nestled deep in thought , she folded her arms over her chest. 

           you certainly haven’t changed one bit. / you really think that...?

Even after all the time they’d spent apart, even after being stuck on this strange planet for over a year without the presence of any other Jedi, Ahsoka’s spike of panic in the Force was something Anakin was attuned to, as though he were still her master, someone who still held the responsibility of looking out for her. Again, he smothered the urge to reach out, to put a hand on her shoulder. Ahsoka was distant in a way he didn’t remember her being before she’d left. Still, he would’ve liked to comfort her – but the more she spoke, the more his confusion began to morph into something like concern.

Some sort of uncomfortable feeling squirmed in his gut – not something he sensed in the Force, but just plain old unease. He watched her intently as she visibly seemed to sift through the odd, incomplete image that their separate experiences formed; their mismatched memories were like puzzle pieces from different pictures that didn’t fit together, and attempting to combine them simply didn’t work. It just didn’t make sense. She remembered him being involved in events that he very much didn’t recall. He’d been here, after all. And what Ahsoka was talking about was recent. A just before she’d gotten stuck here sort of recent.

Unsettled, Anakin felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise like an anxious animal. ❝ Somebody was with you? With Obi-Wan? ❞ he repeated, some sort of horrifying realization slotting into place. Anakin had sometimes wondered how the Republic had dealt with his sudden disappearance. He’d never considered that perhaps… they hadn’t dealt with it at all. Because he’d never disappeared. Because he’d been replaced with some sort of imposter.

The mismatched puzzle pieces finally fit together, and he didn’t like the final image one bit.

❝ That wasn’t me. I – ❞ he cut himself off. ❝ Ahsoka, you have to tell me – did… that person you met – what did they say? What… happened before you got here? ❞

        FINGERS  LIFTED  TO  HER  CHIN.  to steady herself? to replicate some semblance of composure? maybe. maybe not. it was all just too ODD. not to mention worrisome. if it wasn’t anakin, then who? a clone? a shape-shifter? no, and no. neither of those possibilities would explain why she hadn’t been able to tell REAL from FAKE. and that was the part that didn’t make any sense.

        how could she have missed something so quintessential?

        anakin’s outpour of questions was enough to pull ahsoka from the shower of thought that burned and shattered within. eyes glanced up , met his , and then darted away again. stay calm. she reminded herself. we can’t both panic. and through the thundering of heart and mind she let herself BREATHE. if only before tenting her hands together , and swiveling in her step in the beginnings of a near-frantic pace.

         ❝  nothing dangerous. at least , not that i didn’t sign myself up for.  ❞ she started, parsing through memory , and HOPING maybe — maybe — she’d remember something that was just off-kilter enough; anything that just might make these disjointed pieces fall back into place. ❝  i was only able to bring troops to sundari because of you. or ... whoever it was.  ❞ and he’d stood up for her. managed a compromise with obi-wan that allowed her to do the right thing. and for just a second , even if it was just a small, short second , the universe hadn’t quite seemed so BIG , standing next to her friend.

        thumb parsed over the sharp edge of togruta fang , scraping skin before ahsoka’s pacing came to a stop and she turned back towards anakin.

Donald’s been waiting outside Ashoka’s house just like they talked about. He’d done his absolute best to be on time in order to keep his promise. They were going to go shopping for the best deals in candy: the day after valentines day.

He’d off handedly mentioned the tradition to her during conversation, and she seemed pretty keen on exploring the concept herself. Truth be told, he was more used to doing this tradition himself, given that, well. His boys were too young to buy things and he wasn’t in a relationship with anyone.

Admittedly, he’d received a great number of sweets from his friends, and with no boys around he was free to eat them all himself… he’s going to need to look into a diet program after the excursion (probably).

Soon enough he sees his alien friend and smiles in greeting. [Hey Ashoka! Are ya ready to go chocolate shopping?] He didn’t know if she was getting something for anyone or just herself, but it was sure to be a fun time nonetheless.

            AHSOKA  GREETED  HER  COMPANION  with  a  smile.  coming  to  a  stop  with  a  hand  placed   decidedly  on  her  hip  ,  she  chuckled.  ❝  about  as  ready  as  i’m  going  to  be.  but  i  can’t  say  i’m  not  intrigued. ❞

          thinking  about  it  ,  the  concept  of  going  to  get  chocolates  of  all  things   was   odd  enough.  but  the  fact  that  THIS  was  the  highlight  of  the  past  cycle  was  downright  SURREAL.  sure  ,  give  or  take  some  WEIRD  FLOWERS  and  one  doozy  of  a  trip  between  PLANETARY  DIMENSIONS  ,  there  just  wasn’t  a  lot  of  WAR  or  STRIFE  here.

          it  was  ODD.

          but  not  terrible.

Traps, Ducks, and Aliens (oh my) \ @scberlight​

Well, this adventure had already gone out of hand. Of course he was unlucky enough to get caught down here completely by himself. It wasn’t like him to get separated so fast… then again maybe it wasn’t up to him.

He’d somehow managed to get himself in a weird looking jungle. Normally that wouldn’t matter too him, though the familiarity of it being… a not so normal and full of dangers jungle was become more and more evident the longer he walked among the trees.

It was actually kind of pretty all things considered. While he walked he thought he saw a temple in the distance. Maybe that’d be his ticket out of this bug infested, dog gone humid pit.

He took a single step, pressing down on something. 

Thwip. Yank. Tug. 

Rope was moving at an alarming pace in several directions. Before he knew it, right from underneath him sprung forth a net trap. 

[WAHHHHHH!!!] His wild scream could be heard all over the biome as he was thrust into the air by the force of the net. He was pretty light all things considered. He continued to scream as he swung helplessly in the air.

The shock of being trapped set him off as he angrily shouted trying to break free of the net, but only entangling himself worse. He finally stopped, trapped in a net hanging off the ground. He hoped whoever, or whatever set it off would get him down so he could make his escape. Otherwise, there was very little he could do.

            SHE  HAD  STUMBLED  THROUGH  A  DOOR  AND  landed  in  a  forest  in  the  scuffle.  logistics  of  that  ASIDE  ,  turning  around  had  revealed  NO  DOOR.  and  that  was  NOT  an  especially  comforting  thought  ,  given  anakin  was  still  on  the  other  side.  DRAT.  ahsoka  had  thought  ,  and  folded  her  arms  over  her  chest.  her  worry  was  INTERRUPTED  ,  though  by  a  very  loud:

          birds  scattered  and  cawed  overhead  ,  leaves  ruffled  in  the  scuffle.  ahsoka  turned  and  narrowed  her  eyes  as  she  scanned  the  undergrowth  but  . . .  she  couldn’t  SENSE  anything.  just.  loud  screaming.  and  perhaps  the  faintest  inkling of  PANIC  and  RAGE.  she  followed  it  ,  morbidly  curious  and  —  . . .  found  that  guy  she  met  before.  

          ❝  well  now.  you’re  looking  a  little  STUCK  THERE  ,  stranger,  ❞  ahsoka  laughed  from  down  below  ,  staring  up  at  the  sipsk’ud.  she  shifted  her  weight  and  placed  a  hand  on  her  hip  before  ‘tsk’ing  ,  amused.  ❝  looks  like  you  got  stuck  here  in  MORE  WAYS  THAN  ONE.  don’t  worry.  i’ll  get  you  out.  ❞

            she  studied  the  large  jungle  tree  ,  following  the  branches  upwards  until  she  spotted  exactly  how  high  she  needed  to  climb.  then  ,  LEAPT  from  the  ground  to  a  branch  just  below  donald’s  head  ,  then  again  and  again  until  she  was  balanced  ,  cat-like  ,  on  the  branch  that  bore  the  net’s  weight.               a  rudimentary  pulley  system.  but  one  she  knew  was  NOT  especially  fun  to  get  stuck  in.
