Love is just like rain; it touches us all

The new moon will be transiting my 7th house, which means it will be focused on relationships, partnerships and how I relate to others. This year was a lot about me recalibrating myself and my boundaries, so it makes a lot of sense that next I will be recalibrating how I allow others to access me and how I want to show up in connections CORE INTENTIONS:

I prioritize relationships that are reciprocal, consistent and expansive

I show up to do my part, I release the need to have others do theirs

I release the compulsion to over-give necessarily

I attract people who value clarity, depth and growth

I align with partnerships that value find value in my vision and put in the effort to match the depth of what I offer

Should I organically align with someone who I'd wish to explore a romantic relationship with:

I will do so with presence, releasing the need to control everything. I allow the universe to determine how and when love shows up in my life.

I will see the other person for the frequency they are operating in and the effort they make towards intentions they set rather than for the potential I see them to have

I will only share a romantic relationship with someone who inspires my highest self to rise, and connects me with my inner child naturally

My romantic relationships will not affect how I show up in other relationships, especially the one with myself

The version of me in 2026 relates like this:

I am a mirror to others as they are to me. I set the boundaries for how I want to be treated by showing up that way for myself first and expressing my needs to close any gaps. I match the energy of others in retrospect and withdraw or give my energy accordingly.

Where have I been loyal to potential instead of reality?

This year has been a lot of understanding in how I have poured into the potential of my closest relationships, especially romantic and parental, rather than into my own. It wasn't just an issue of seeing people for their potential rather than reality, but rather recognizing whether any effort was being made to move towards the potential in their realities. It doesn't matter how much I pour into others, if they aren't willing to make the effort themselves I will waste mine trying to coddle them to do it. I allow myself to show compassion without taking on responsibility for it.

Where do I confuse patience with self-abandonment?

Similar to the previous answer, it's all about intention and balance. I think while I have a lot of patience for others I have little for myself. I confuse patience with self-abandonment when I pour all efforts into other people's self growth and place none on my own. It's part of my purpose and my personal journey to guide others to grow, but when there is an imbalance of reciprocation (meaning they don't match the effort to garner the results) I need to recognize when to pull back and let them figure things out on their own accord rather than to take on the burden for them. I have to trust that whatever I've done is enough so I can let go and trust them to meet themselves on their own time.

What relational lesson from the past year am I done repeating?

I am done over giving. I am done feeling obligated to over extend myself due to the nature of the role I play in other's lives. At the end of the day we are all equal beings of light, we all have the same right to grow, express and be respected.
