I first heared of Pako from a group of mountaineering friends from Laguna. They said that its main ingredient is fern sprouts which are abundant in their forests. At that time I couldn’t imagine eating it as back home, ferns are potted as ornamental plants. But honestly, part if me was curious about how the salad would look like… or would taste like.

One of the perks of moving into a new residence is the opportunity to explore a new "neighborhood". Of course, it isn't that easy but it's all worth the excitement and adventure. 

Moving just a few weeks back, our bodies are tired and my backache has been bothering me for weeks so I searched for options within the vicinity and there's a lot of spa / massage options. Sesitra caught by attention based on one blogger's write-describing it as a homey day spa that's so worth it.. and, their delicious after-massage hot calamansi tea. 

Now let me describe it my way.

Located right across Amicos and just beside NLos' Bar and Grill (Aguirre St.), this day spa is indeed a house converted into a day spa. Stepping inside, I saw a typical living room only that it had a front desk counter with a friendly attendant greeting us. We had booked ahead so after 2 minutes we were lead into this room with just a mattress on the floor, nothing fancy. As i lied down, i felt being close to "home". Bed sheets were like the ones in a typical home - cotton and printed sheets (not the 'dirty white' or dark colored sheets in a spa). The soft pillow had white pillow case that's crisp and newly washed (i think). :) Just so "home".

My therapist Genie was so conscious about my comfort. Conscious enough to increase the aircon temperature (as my feet were cold to touch) and adjusting her massage pressure depending on how my body reacts to it and I love it! The rest was just "heaven at home" feeling. It was a good 2-hour massage just the way I want it! I love massages and I've tried over a dozen spas in the metro and this by far is one of best (if not the best) in terms of "massage experience" which was what I wanted. No-frills kind of spa that delivers its service -- massage.

Oh, and I should agree that the hot calamansi is very good! I wonder if they'd share the recipe for me to try at home.

Would I go there again? Definitely!

By the way, since it's a house, their toilet is spacious, clean and it smells of expensive liquid soap than your average toilet scent. For me it's a plus factor. Also, the artworks and bags are interesting. I wonder what's the owner's interest. :)
