Well this is a bit shit. I’ve only just arrived and I can’t even find my bloody flat. Does Google Maps or Sat-Nav actually work in the states or is that just a myth?

I think it's just a myth, a faux par to get Americans lost so the country can swoop to the rescue.  Where is your apartment at?  I haven't been here long enough myself to know every single street, but we might be in luck... and if not I'm sure we can figure it out together.
