The Scarlet... Devil?

"..." Flandre would just follow along with her, going to Remi's room together. She just did her best to cool her head as they came to a stop.

"Honestly, Flan, I don't know." She sighed, flopping onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I suspected that something might be the matter, and was likely due to me locking you alone in the basement for so long, but I didn't imagine it was this... dire."

Remilia thought it was just be a case of multiple personalities, not something that had gone so deep that it had fractured her soul. Remilia had never heard of such a thing... at least, none that had survived the ordeal.

She had no idea what to do now.

"...I'm fine, sis." She said calmly, her brow furrowed as she shot a look at Patchouli for a brief moment. She looked rather irritated by this, to say the least...This wasn't at all the way she wanted things to go. She was hoping to get this screening thing done quickly and put Remi at ease, but on the contrary it ended up worrying her more. Split personalities...She knew about their existence really, but there was never anything to say that this was abnormal as far as she was concerned. She'd spent much of her life alone, after all.

"There's no need to worry about this too much. Like she said, it's not hurting me, so you don't need to let this get you down." Flan simply preferred to sweep this matter aside...She felt fine. She didn't feel anything wrong with herself, nothing abnormal as far as she'd been living for the past two centuries or so.

"A-ah, no need, Patchouli. Thank you for your time, we won't intrude any longer, I'm sure you have a lot of work to do." Remilia gripped Flandre's hand a little tighter, pulling her up as she started to fly towards the exit.

"I-I see..." Remilia bit her lip again, looking sideways at Flandre to see how she was taking this.

"...I suppose if that's all we can do for the moment, then we will have to do our best to keep her stable." Remilia said, squeezing Flandre's hand again, although it was more of a reassuring squeeze this time. Making sure Flandre knew she wasn't alone, using the term 'we' to let her know she would be with her.

"If you think of anything that would help f-" Remilia bit her lip again, a little harder. That word again. Remilia hated that that was the idea in her mind right now. She knew her intentions were good, but 'fix' was the word that kept popping to her mind. Trying to fix this. Trying to assuage her guilt, since she was still convinced that it was her fault.

"If you think of anything that would help, Patchouli, let me know. Absolutely anything. I will do anything if it means helping Flandre."

She turned to look at Flandre properly.

"Well...It's most certainly multiple personality disorder. Different aspects of her personality seem to have manifested in their own selves during her time locked away and exaggerated their respective traits to the extreme."

"Hah? It's not that big a deal that I talk to myself sometimes, right...?"

"H-her SOUL?" Remilia exclaimed squeakily. Remilia thought she had been prepared for bad news... but she hadn't imagined it was THIS bad. She'd expected the first part, but hadn't expected that it would affect her soul. Her hand tensed, squeezing Flandre's hand gently.

"I... what can do we to..." Remilia bit her lip. She didn't want to say 'fix this', since it wasn't like Flandre was just a broken cabinent that needed to be put back together, but...

"Right here, Patchouli. I think Flan needs to hear this as well."

"Ah, Remi and Flan...Go ahead and have a seat, then." Patchouli was already waiting for them at a table, holding a psychology book. "Shall we begin?"

"Yeah, I'm ready." She nodded.

Remilia was paying careful attention, making sure to catch every word of what Patchouli was saying, the questions she was asking, and thinking about how she, herself, would answer it... but then again, Patchouli would probably find out many things about her if she was being asked those questions as well.

As Remilia's oldest friend though, Patchouli was probably already aware how much anxiety and self doubt Remilia carried. But this wasn't about her.

"Mm. Don't worry, Flandre." She huged her back.
