the freshest blue-shelled isopodra i’ve seen in a while. couldn’t resist so i splurged a bit haha ^ ^

simply baked with cheese and chives, nothing better! somehow managed to finish the whole thing @ _ @

keep an eye out for isopods, peak season has begun!

cookies baked and impeccably decorated by a friend’s kids, they are too cute!

the famous man-shu (their spin on roasted mandrake haha) udon at Phantom Udon!

they simmer mandrake juice with house stock for at least a week, producing this beautiful clear broth! and of course use the mandrake flesh for their famous man-shu ^ q^ delicious!

be warned of long lines, but it’s worth the wait! you can find Phantom Udon in the specter district.

per many suggestions, I ended up seeing how big of an omelet I could get out of that egg! look at that color!

spinach and provolone cheese, topped off with a little fresh parsley

a loud shrieking sound came out of the egg when I cracked it, but otherwise the cooking process was uneventful~ did have to get out one of my bigger pans though ^ ^

look at this massive eye egg i picked up at the farmer’s market today! i totally HAD to post a pic! (hand for scale)

the vendor seemed preeeeetty eager to get this ol’ thing out of his hands. but whatever haha, i’ve eaten weirder cursed objects! ^ ^

a friend of mine drove in this weekend with a surprise gift... an ice box full of the elusive spire-lipped snapper!

i decided not to do anything too crazy with it... nothing’s better than a well-steamed fish with some light soy sauce.

friends are the best!

a refreshing afternoon treat! spiders and cream, with a touch of mint and a few raspberries...perfect!!

long legs are in these days, but I always have that nostalgia for ye olde common house spider ^ ^ ~ <3

what a lazy morning! it was ridiculously hard to wake up today!

besides the poached eye (always find it finicky to get perfect), a low key breakfast.

time to relax!

got a little ambitious with tonight’s dinner!

tender arm roast with violetberry reduction. couldn’t let those fingers go to waste, so I battered and fried some tempura. bones in, terribly crunchy!

and of course, had to treat myself with a glass ; ) goodnight everyone!

quick lunch today! threw together some of last night’s eye pea soup, and a rushed (but tasty) salamander sandwich.

flushed it all down with some blood!
